Spyderco ARK?

#1

Post by Z2KCT »

Does anyone know when the ARK will be re-released with the updated sheath?

Thanks!

Sal, would you ever consider a spearpoint version of the Ark?

Anything is possible. I think that teeth will be next on this model.

Is it possible to purchase the updated sheath for the original run?

Yeah it's a handy little knife. I didn't buy mine for SD. I bought it to have a little fixed blade utility knife and i think it fits well in that category.

I've been wanting this knife a looong time, was excited when it became available. Came today from Amazon. OK, I can understand needing to be safe and add the retainer on the sheath, though it is awkward to use. But I never thought I'd pay this much for a Spyderco knife and have it come to me DULL. It won't cut butter. Second Spyderco like this. Kind of expected it on last one, cheaper one made in China. This one real money. Really sad. But, I'll sharpen it, because it is every bit as light and handy as promised. Bill P

Can someone post a picture of the original sheath and a picture of the new sheath to see the difference? I'd hate to order an Ark and have it come with the original sheath. Thanks.

Ark is on my list for next fixed blade. Really like the compact design.

Hi Bill,

Welcome to our forum.

Sorry for your complaint. It's not we get very often. If you would like to send it to us, we can make sure it's sharp for you.

The Military's I just received (52100x2&204p) were SERIOUSLY sharp. I mean all the Spyderco's I've ever gotten were sharp. But these Millies are on a totally different level. Much praise for the guys and gals in Golden.....they are on top of their game imo.

An orange handle with serrations would be a pretty neat sprint run.

Absolutely! When can I look for one of these to be in the dealers?!! No need for a Sprint Run, just a regular production option, like the Pingo and SPY-DK. You can get orange or black. I'll take orange.

Orange, yes please! I will always buy a colour over black if given a choice.
