I can see that the stop pin is farther from the edge and has no screw heads, in the pictures at least. Someone please elaborate on the significance of this. By the way I think I can remember when a preliminary picture or two were prototypes or speculative or whatever, but these look like good clear photos and not artist conceptions.

They look like CAD photos to me. Unless these changes have been requested by KW, I don't think they will happen. If you look in the catalog the 52100 sprint run has the normal Military features and this knife has been made at the same time.

Well, I decided I wanted it before I saw the pics, so I'm still OK with it. Also, the catalog pic of the 52100 doesn't look like an actual photo to me -- are all the catalog pics CAD images? It seems to have a faint lamination line like the pic of the HAP40 knives above it. Maybe I'm over analyzing this, but all the knives on that page but the Millie should have lamination lines, and the Manix lacks one. I think the layout artist accidentally put the Manix's lamination line on the Millie, which I guess would go along with these not being actual photos... which could leave hope that both could have the innovations? :confused: :) Maybe this could have been uncertain when the catalog came out.

Edit: for me, the lack of the big lanyard hole would be a slight plus in case I want to add a tip-down clip some time after the new wears off.

I was gonna pass on this one as I already have 5 Militaries and two knives in 204P but with the new CQI it I may change my mind. Hmmm....

I wonder if the 52100 sprint will have these changes as well?

If I were a betting person, I'd bet the 52100 also has these CQI. The extra R&D & tooling could account for some of the higher pricing on these exclusives and the sprint as well.

This military is probably it. You might be able to find a used blue domino or a Southard for a little less.

Just got my order in. This was a no brainier for me. I have been waiting for this one. Everyone always recommends the Military and I don't have one. I have yet to use this steel. I love the colored G-10, and KW is my favorite dealer. Very, very excited to receive this one.

That would be a nice touch indeed. I'll be happy with the 52100 Millie regardless, but I hope it gets the CQI'd treatment as well.
