Re: Spyderco Sprig Dropping
YESSSSSSS!!! Been waiting for this one. :D :D My most anticipated Spydie. Preordered 2 of these when Knifeworks first made them available, I think in July. Hopefully an early Christmas present. Thank you Sal and Phil :) :) :)
Re: Spyderco Sprig Dropping
I'll definitely be getting one. Need to replace the bird and trout I sold earlier this year :D

Re: Spyderco Sprig Dropping
I will be getting one. I fondled one at the SFO today. Now I want it even more. It is ground super duper thin at the edge. I mean, whoa! It is much smaller than the Southfork, about the size of a large paring knife really. The ergos and blade shape are great for my uses. It is very lightweight too. Feels great in the hand.

Re: Spyderco Sprig Dropping
It may be a while before I get to use this in the field as icefishing season is ending and my summer fishing season doesn't really kickoff for a little bit. Small game and deer seasons are also a little ways out. This knife will process a few grouse and rabbits and field dress some deer once those seasons come around. Until then it will clean fish all summer.
Man, I have been wanting this thing for months now!!! Woot woot!!! It is a scalpel.
Here is a pic of my .22 with the Sprig. I have taken more than a few critters with this thing. I usually carry my 10/22 for small game but this is always on my hip just in case a bunny decides to stand still long enough for me to take a shot. I am bunny accurate out to about 20 yards with this thing.

Re: Spyderco Sprig Dropping
The sheath rocks. It has the tightest fit of any fixed blade Spydie I have held and it is folded over as opposed to the bulkier pancake style. Two thumbs up on the sheath.

Re: Spyderco Sprig Dropping
This knife is on my radar so I should have one soon.
Great shot with the Ruger .22 and the knife. I have an almost identical 22 Ruger. Great gun.

Re: Spyderco Sprig Dropping
Thanks guys. The Single Six is a cool piece. I like revolvers and this is a must have if you like single actions. Mine is from around 1973 according to the serial number. I have had this one for years but I am not the original owner. I wish it was a ten shot like the new ones but I still love it and won't sell it. I have gotten way too proficient with it to sell it.
I like that classic single six but .22 ammo is way too finicky to not have fully adjustable sights. It is a very cool piece though. Thanks for sharing. :)

Re: Spyderco Sprig Dropping
I have used my Swick to process some small game too. The Sprig should work a lot better.
