Wonky Delica SB

#1

Post by Skywarp »

Hi chaps,

I've had my SB Delica since the sprint was released and used it most days.

Recently, the pivot worked loose but when I tightened it, the blade was way off centre to the point that it is scraping the scale.

I've tried loosening the other screws but nothing helps.

Is it worth returning to Spyderco for servicing or would you write this off as wear and tear?

I'm in the UK BTW.

Try shimming the blade then tighten the screws.

Clean the knife well, loosen the pivot until you have no side to side rock. If that doesn't work, I would recommend sending in to SFO.

Did the handles/liners possibly get bent?
Going back to Caly.

Is the blade bent? I saw a video showing how easy the blade of these series got bent.

And a sudden change in action seems to be suspicious as well (???)
