Am I seeing thigs or is the new forum knife screw construction?

Meaning I could put some linen micarta scales on one?
On my radar: 110V Military, Police 4 and some sweet Rex 45 Military action.

Newest Spydies: S90v Ti Military, Pacific Salt and a special Kiwi.

There are no liners so a micarta model would be tough. I would think that a standard Native5 G10 would be a much better platform for custom scales.

Because you could always swap in one of these blades...

It seems that the price is pretty high this time around. If the original prices are high enough that keeps the scammers away so only the enthusiasts end up buying them. For $160 I think it should at least have G10.

True, but with the forum2015 code, it knocked off 63$ ....ended up around 98 $ which is pretty close to what the lightweight is going for....so pretty good deal...I would have gotten 2 but opted for a mule team20 and a T2 leather sheath to get me over the 150 for free shipping, so I came in just a little north of 200.

Yeah, I agree with BTG, I think the last forum model ran about $130-140 with the discount and this one is below $100 with the discount. It's a pretty nice deal if you ask me.

That's not including shipping, so, it could be a little over $100 with shipping.

Ha yea it's pretty clearly an awesome deal. No one remembers the premium you had to pay for some of the previous S90V sprints/exclusives? Obviously there were other materials changes, such as CF instead of G10, but still.

S90V PM2 = S30V PM2 + 70% MSRP
S90V Millie = S30V Millie + 45% MSRP
S90V Yo2 = S30V Yo2 + 75% MSRP

And this doesn't even count likely differences between MSRP and street price.

Whether one likes the Native or not, likes the steel or not, the color, or anything else...this knife is a screaming deal. I know the production knife game is doing things today that we would only dream of 10 years ago and S90V is not a new kid on the super steel block. Still, that much cutting performance for that price is nothing to ignore. Can't wait for mine to come and thanks to the SFO crew for same day processing on my order. :D

Dude, use the promo code and it is only a hundred bucks! That makes this a smoking deal.

The 2013 forum knife with G10 had an msrp of $250 and sold for $150. This 2015 forum knife has a msrp of $150 and is selling for $100 with the promo code. Seems straightforward to me.

Thanks for the additional pic, Studey! Nice to see it looking maroon instead of chocolate brown :)

Yes it looks much more redish in that pic than your original. Can't wait to see it "in the flesh!"

It's definitely maroon. Nobody will look at it and say, "Oh, that's brown," but it isn't that wine color were used to. Think a shade lighter and less saturation.

That pic makes me wish I ordered two of them... I ended up with one Forum Native and a Swick. Trying to change things up a little bit. :)

Whether or not this particular model is a deal or not (I happen to believe it is a great deal), I buy the forum knives to support the forum. Super friendly people, great information shared, and one of the best forum vibes on the Internet.
