Crafted some fresh micarta today so the Magnamax can be put to work.

Very cool! Been using my MagnaMax, a grail knife for me. Did you countersink the screw heads?

Yup, I use what they call gulso bolts from https://www.makermaterialsupply.com/

Pretty sure I have the 1/4 Micros.

They sell corresponding countersink bits to go with each each size bolt they sell.

If you have a drill press its an absolute breeze to make removable scales with these bolts and bits.

Picked up a MagnaMax mule when they dropped, thanks Sal and Eric for making these available at a very fair price.

Minimized the nub to near zero, reduced the bird’s beak enough to wrap the handle in Ito with full-coverage, and still have enough hook to index well in-hand.

Handle is sanded, red-dyed and tanned stingray, under epoxy saturated cord. Made a little pocket fixed blade sheath for ease of carry.

This REX T15 Mule has been sitting in my desk drawer since they dropped. Recently when I spotted these chunks of wood, they made me think what it would look like if Vincent Van Gogh painted images from the James Webb Space Telescope. I had to have them. This is the nicest Mule that I've made to date--not as nice as some of you guys, but I'm using you for inspiration.

Working up some new scales this week. Hard to choose how I want to dress up all my Mule Team blades.

This is my M398 Mule in a green aluminum honeycomb and green epoxy resin sitting beside some new textured scales in Cherry, Maple, and Walnut. I also whipped up a smooth set of purple heart that still needs a bit of sanding. Last up are some sets of red and blue honeycomb that I'll be sanding up tomorrow night.

Really great work as usual @FullScaler! That green honeycomb set is a real jaw dropper! I saw that your scales are all out-of-stock on your webshop, so that must mean response has been good. Cool to see more of your stuff, and looking forward to seeing how the other honeycomb versions turn out.

Thanks @barnaclesonaboat I recently moved my shop and production was down for a few months and then quickly sold out of what I had left on the last drop.

Right now im building up stock but we currently have a Canada Post strike going on right now, and combine that with the new tarriffs and it makes shipping to the US quite expensive.

Once the postal strike is over up here, I will have a bunch of new stuff ready to list.

Until then, my shop is back up and running and I have lots of great material to work with. And more than a few mules that still need new scales.

Nice looking scales on the Mule, where did you bag the Bison? Sure looks like it's all haired out good for the winter from what I can see from your pic.

Those animals and any others for that matter are really going to need all the hair and fat they can pack on for up there in Canada.

There is a Bison herd in Alaska , one of the most sought after tags in the state . The herd is located in the Mantanuska Valley , they called Woods Bison .If you get a tag the state requires you to attend two classes before season to have ability to been able to tell gender . Brother-in-law got a tag and sister had a custom Sharps 45-70 made for the hunt . He was successful and they had to buy an extra freezer . He has the skull and hide in man cave . Dan

I had not made a Mule handle in a long time. I think it'll be my last for a while but this one is special, it definitely needed to be made :open-grin.
