I'm a righty and I find the comp lock awkward. I still really like it's mechanics and am not really complaining - I think MichealCook is right on about the familiarity thing.

Mine is sharpened at probably less than 15 degrees - I go freehand. It's a beautiful cutting machine. S30V is wonderful stuff. By the way, NativeAmerican, could you explain to me what a relief bevel is and the point of it please?

Tonydahose - it was ATS 55, hollow ground, and seriously looks light purple to me and I'm not colorblind. I think the box had blue written on it, though.

My small Rescue with a VG-10 blade has cut all kinds of cardboard and banding ( I mean a LOT ), and the edge is still like new, so there's my vote.

Oh, now I really want a Worker even more :( I've never received a Spydie, but have given 2 Delicas away - one to my stepdaughter ( she's a botanist and is using it a lot and really likes it - it's purple ) - and one to a guy I used to work with ( he had a cheap piece of garbage pocketknife so I gave...

I, too am a lunatic. I sharpen freehand and it's usually around 15 degrees. Some are around 20 degrees, but 15 cuts like there's no tomorrow. :)

Looks like a bit of a pain to reinsert, to me. Wouldn't know 'til I tried it, though and I wouldn't buy ont to find out - would have to play with one in a store. Interesting, though - thanks for sharing. :)

Excellent opinions. I should have clarified - I would like it small, and included on the tang stamp. I just want the information there, not "decoration". I always know what I'm carrying is called, but I would just like it. I don't like big lettering, etc., like the old military for example...
