All I can tell you is that everything wears with use. Be it a rifle, knife, or your car. If you use your tool alot, there will be wear. Besides Cheaper Than Dirt, another source is "Knives-Plus". I don't believe they are on the web, but their # is "1-800-687-6202". They don't list prices for Spyderco, you have to call, but I still find them very good with their pricing.
