Hate to say this, but I sold off most of my Spyderco knives after carrying my full-size Manix for a while. I kept my Pacific Salt for fishing and my modified Byrd Cara Cara with green micarta scales. All of my knives are users and I just kept reaching for the Manix so everything else had to go.

The C-95 Manix is my favorite knife! At first I thought it was too big. Now it feels just perfect in my hand and pocket.

I sent my Caly 3 in to Spyderco W&R because of vertical blade play. Nearly 10 weeks later I received a replacement Caly 3 with nearly the same blade play as the three week old knife I originally sent in. I sold the replacement off on eBay because I refuse to accept a "clicking" vertical blade play ...

SavageRabbit,
I had a similar moment with my new Sharpmaker a couple of months ago. Unfortunately I wasn't able to truly convey the feelings I experienced when I managed to create my first shaving sharp edge EVER. Your post nailed it!

I like my Spyderco knives, but I LOVE my Sharpmaker. I really ...

So far I'm extremely pleased with my all of my Spyderco knives and Sharpmaker. The input directly from Spyderco (Sal, Kristi, etc.) on this forum is impressive and rare in business these days. My only dissapointment with Spyderco so far is the customer service. It took nearly 10 weeks to get my Caly ...

You can make some yourself with pink linen, slow-cure epoxy, and a press. Others can make it for you, but the price I was quoted was, well,

I really need a pink knife!

I need a Pink Spyderco as a gift for my fishing buddy(guy). It's payback for the Barbie tackle box and matching hot pink beer can coozie he gave me as Christmas gifts. I can't stand wasting money on bad knives so I'll either wait for a pink Spyderco or swap out the scales on a G-10 Byrd ...

Guys,
There was a mistake in the posting of the original contest date. I think Jim Malone meant to make the cut off date 12/31/2006. This contest is already over. Here is the link where forum member Jim Malone announced the winner. http://spyderco.com/forums/showthread.php?t=25926&highlight=karma

I love my Captain, but like most knives it isn't suitable for all cutting jobs. I usually carry one locking Spyderco and a smaller slipjoint knife. In my pockets today you'll find the knives pictured below (not to scale). I have several blade options at my disposal to handle most tasks.

May I ask about it?

I have a stainless Robin PE that is just calling for some embellishment. I'm not crazy about super slim SS handle knives. The Robin would be perfect with a thicker handle and some warmth. I have several colors of canvas micarta, maple burl and buffalo horn that I purchased a ...

I seriously can't quit looking at this knife. I love GC Micarta. How hard was it to take the knife down? I"ve never tried anything but a green river belt blade. Right now it is sitting in the garage because I don't know how to do the inset for the cutlery rivets. If I can't buy one I would be ...

Been using my serrated Pacific Salt and plain edge Atlantic Salt on the boat for a while. I use them to cut bait, fishing line and rope. I would say that depends on several things. If the coating is meant to enhance electrical conductivity, then it is of no value in this situation. If it is for corrosion resistance, then removing it would be less advisable. There are also the questions of skill and access to proper tools. As an ...

My first ever knife mod.

I purchased the Byrd G-10 Cara Cara below so I could attempt my first ever knife modification/customization.
