Yeah, big ups to the SB laminate sprints, especially the Delica. This is a fun little steel, no lie. Plus the two-tone you get from a forced patina gives it a little cool factor to boot. That chili-garlic sauce with the bright green cap did wonders on mine. The flavor of the knife, however, was not ...

I was really, really excited for this knife...until I saw the price. $180? Really...? My gray Para didn't cost me that much. Must be an exotic steel...oh wait it's VG-10? Must be a strange handle...oh wait, it's G-10?

!!!This Knife Replica!!!

Fake paramilitaries are the in vogue these days, they're not even hiding the fact that they're fakes anymore. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Spyderco-Paramilitary-2-Folding-Knife-C81-Replica-/271320043720?pt=Collectible_Knives&hash=item3f2bef50c8 Reported, and it doesn't hurt to search "Spyderco Replica" f...

Gray G-10 is the obvious best choice because it'll resemble the metal of the original scales. Retro is in, baby.

Also, bump.

Bought a Merlin in 2001 and paid full MSRP for it before I knew better. Worth every penny.

I'd pass. My serrated Stretch hasn't left my pocket since Sierra all but gave it away to me, and I'm way too in love with the curves of this blade to buy a straightened out variation. I believe the Stretch is a winner as is.

Champing at the bit for the grey-handled sprint.

Go for it. Mine's hardly left my pocket since I got it, and the edge is easier to maintain than you might think/hear. Be advised the scales get dirty quick, but are easy enough to clean. Also that price is pretty hard to beat.

The only one I bought was the Gray one with the Carpenter steel, but I traded it for a sweet though slightly used BRK Native. It's awesome because it says "First Generation" right on the blade.

Sweet.

I'd be all over a bolstered Stretch, regardless of steel. VG-10 would be easier on the wallet and a great user, but a Damascus Bolster Stretch would be beyond gorgeous. Either way, bolster it up, wrap it and my check's in the mail for sure.

Yet another Gray Para 2 sighting thread.

Just got an e-mail from these guys saying my 20CP Para just shipped. Placed the order a couple of months back. Anyone still looking might wanna drop them a line and see if they have any left, as I haven't heard anyone mention this dealer before. http://michiganpoliceequipment.com/para-military2grayg...

Sorry guys, but I would find any use of a pocketknife in a restaurant tacky in the extreme. A true gentleman will make due with the tools given, and if the food is tough to the point that even the cheapest diner cutlery won't do the job, I'd have it back to the cook double-time. As the saying goes; ...

Hi ya allll !! w000wwwooooo You raise an interesting argument, but I would counterpoint that the Police model, while large and a bit heavy, can function perfectly well in EDC cutting tasks. The classic fine tip is reminiscent of earlier models like the Endura and Delica 2, and with the swedge pierc...
