I've been carrying a Mini-Grip in this exact position for more than two years. I did have a SOG Flash II open on me once (didn't get hurt, though) when carried this way.

The main reason I use a Mini Grip is because I put a Pika low-ride clip on it and you can't see it at all. It's pretty easy to ...

Guilty!

I am one of the people who asked STR to make me low rider clips for my delica/salts.

He made good ones for my Mini Manix and Caly Jr. If only for the others!

My preferred carry is low-ride. Some I can carry in my pocket, but I prefer not to. For this reason my main EDC is a Mini Grip with a low ...

I might be able to find out how many DU Q's were made. My dad is the president of DU! He's not so up on knives anymore. He loses all knives within about 3 weeks of getting them. I think half of them get left (or fall out of his pocket) in the garden.

Since he's not up on knives he may not have any ...

The "in the hand" problem

I agree with the above statements. The dodo has to be held to be fully appreciated. I had one that I lost at the dump (long sad story). I had to order one to replace it as soon as I got back to make sure I got one to replace it before they ran out.

The problem with only knowing it's good if you can ...

I got one, Love it!

I went on a knife-buying bender about a month ago and bought:

Temperance
Temperance Trainer
Bill Moran Featherweight
Ranger Knives RD-6 (satin, cocobolo, wood-cutting profile)

Since it was a *bender* I bought all of them! But even now when I'm ... uh ... better, I don't regret buying any of ...

Where Else?

Where else can I get a Tek-loc? I'm not sure I'm up for driving for ~40 minutes to buy a $9 part. But they want $14 to ship it PLUS tax.

I'm trying to find another place to buy it but can't find anything. Google brings up a few things but the sites are of unknown quality or the pages have expired ...

Tec-Loc source for Swick?

Where can I get a small Tec-Loc for my Swick? I googled for them and got *nothing* (it's eery, believe me)!

How much are they and where's a good place to order one from?

Dodo Lock Problem

I've had my Dodo for a month or so and I'm quite happy with it. It's been my EDC most of the time since I bought it. It's an amazing cutter.

I managed to break the screw that holds the clip on by torquing it too hard (my fault) but otherwise has been fine. I treat my knives well.

BUT

Today I was ...

I carry my yellow Salt I every day, but usually in my coat pocket. I don't like drawing attention to my knives.

The blue on the waved Endura matches my newish jeans almost perfectly. Very nice. I can't wait to get the matching Delica since the Endura is too big for my EDC needs and not legal in a ...

you might want to consider the size of your hands, and whether a full four finger grip is important to you. Even with my smallish hands, the Delica only affords three fingers of secure grip and one kind of dangling off the end.

You can only fit 3 fingers on a delica and you think you have ...

Thanks for the reply. I *can* get it off while also using my thumb, but man is it hard!

It won't ever come out of the sheath on accident, that's for sure.

I think I like the Hideaway better than the SPOT.

The Bill Moran is one of the few spydies that I have. You cannot go wrong with it. It will make a great camp knife. Good steel and very easy to get sharp. Can't go wrong for around 50 bucks. I feel it's better for camping than the Temp. just because of it's size. It has a rather small handle so if ...

Wow, I hadn't really looked at the temperance before. At least not the fixed version. It looks really nice. The blade looks like the Caly Jr. (I suppose the Caly Sr, but I haven't seen one of those) blade on steroids.

I've also been looking at something a little more rugged like the Howling Rat ...
