EMT use rescue knife

I'm interested in opinions on which knife works well for an EMT.

I've carried the D'Allara, which is strong as can be, but I found to be too large and heavy to carry on duty daily. I've also carried the Assist I, which with the window punch and all is great. Overall I liked the regular "Rescue ...

Has anything been said about what changes there will be for the new Delica design? I haven't really seen much information.

I'm guessing the ZDP Delica will have a more acute grind than the VG10, but does anyone know for sure?

I have to say, the poliwog sure is an interesting knife. With the Dodo being one of my favorites, I'm excited about the chance to get to handle one of them.

My only real concern is that it is really broad at the pivot end when closed and the indentations are so exposed. I can see a keyring catching ...

I have no strong preference. Green is good. Blue, black, whatever. Any interest in Grey G10?

Vincent,

You're getting a little crazy here today. Lets take a deep breath.

There are a lot of knives with 3" blades, and Sal already said that it was possible to put a G10 handle on another production knife (he mentioned the Delica and Native).

Not that it's decided by a long shot, but at THIS ...

I voted for the Endura, but I would be equally happy with a Delica or Native. Or anything. You can put me in the "will get whatever it turns out to be" camp.

Actually...

Just curious, but why isn't the Caly Jr on here? Wouldn't it be nifty to get the new ZDP Caly Jr. in G-10? People seem to be ...

Ted, that's quite a nice setup you have there. I'm working on putting something like that together to photograph jewelry my wife makes. How do the fluorescent tubes compare to a more traditional incandescent flood/hot light? My plan was to use a box similar to what you have, with a white sheet over ...

knife oil

Forgive the question if it has been answered elsewhere... I couldn't find it in a web search....

What is the recommended oil for spyderco knives? Is there any variation between lock types, handle material, or usage? Any tips or info I should know?

Thanks!

Andrew
