Re: Next spyderco?
Around the 3" blade size, my first thought was the Para 3... (EDIT)...missed seeing in the 1st post somehow where you already have one, oops!... and it is a masterpiece in the grey G-10 with Maxamet steel blade. There's FRN handled ones too if you want to go lightweight, including the option of...

Re: A full size Native slipjoint?
You know what I was thinking about this one today?
Would it not be some launch to make this one with Cobalt Blue G-10 scales and SPY27 Spyderco's signature steel. A brand new design (never made yet - But Para 3 and PM2 upcoming) for a brand new knife.

Re: What Spyderco is in your pocket today??
Maybe not the idea tool for the job but I fancied using my Para 3 Maxamet for today's dinner prep. Sliced up some mixed veg, peeled potatoes and then cut up some bread rolls and cheese. Quite a bit of cutting and I could see no change in the edge sharpness at all. I also cut up three big cardboard A...

Re: What are your top 5 Spydercos?
I think your thread and the linked one really have rather different focuses: - I figure you are asking for a list of ones top five Spydercos, regardless of the context - The other thread basically asks "If you could only OWN five Spydercos, which ones would that be". So it is more about a...

Re: G10 Color for SPY27 Models
Cheers for the info, fellas. I'm planning a couple of purchases from upcoming new knives so I hope they get over here and are still available when I'm wanting to buy them! This PM2 is number one on my list, for sure. This past few days I've read a lot of threads and watched quite a few videos and I ...

Re: G10 Color for SPY27 Models
Hello folks, In the 3 years since it was mentioned here, am I right in thinking that there never were any Cobalt Blue G-10 (SPY27) knives made and that the upcoming Para 3 and PM2 will be the first ones? I'm interested in a knife for what I would call inbetween a medium and large size and fancy the ...

Re: What knife do you actually carry and use the most?
I always carry a locker and a slippie. The number one reason for that is that I sharpen pencils with the slippie so I use the locker for most other stuff, including food work. Most used? I like to rotate from a large to medium sized locker time about and I change my slippie at the same time. I clean...

Re: What Spyderco is in your pocket today??
Today I'm back to what is one of my very favourite Spyderco knives... The Lil' Temperance 3 G-10. I was very lucky that it was still in stock at the shop. Not so lucky with the also discontinued Q Ball and D 'Allara 3 G-10 I was wanting to buy again as well, but at least one of them is here again an...

Re: Mystery Box
We're lucky all the way to the bank, fellas. Here in the UK buying a knife has become, well, internationally no way - with knife "laws" and seizures but even buying from shops locally - where, let's face it, you're getting your pants pulled down with the price rather like Ned Beatty in De...

Re: Mystery Box
It probably won't help anyone who's not too happy with their box, and I realise they're factory seconds, but to hopefully make them feel a bit better, imagine if you were buying these in the UK... ? I'm looking on in near sheer disbelief at the prices of these knives. I couple of posts up someone me...

Re: A full size Native slipjoint?
^^^ A great side-by-side picture there ^^^ For me, it shows off the benefits you'd get from the Native. A deeper blade and handle for starters. Of course, as well as the depth, you'd have the extra thickness too which would make for a sturdy comfortable gripper while still being totally practical. N...

Re: A full size Native slipjoint?
After several day's carry and getting well used to it, something I like on the Lil' Native slipjoint is the fact it doesn't have a half-stop. But I'm in two minds if I like it just because, or because it is a small knife and the half-stop might be clumsy on such a small / tight blade swing? So, I to...

Re: A full size Native slipjoint?
A good looking knife, isn't it! And that's even allowing for my thinking it looks a bit weird with the bare blade.
Cheers to Chris for the pic - much appreciated. I think it helps us to get an idea of what we're looking for and maybe spot some some tweaks / changes?

Re: What Spyderco is in your pocket today??
A brand new one for me today, both in model and steel... The Para 3 in Maxamet. So far, some cutting in the kitchen and two cardboard boxes. Can't tell about the steel yet, of course, but I really love the design of this one as a smaller edc locker - it feels exactly the right size and shape of knif...

Re: What Spyderco is in your pocket today??
For a few days now, I've been carrying two knives - the Stretch XL cruwear and the Lil' Native slippie. Two completely different knives, obviously, but both great. I love the Stretch around the kitchen and outside and the little Native in my pocket to open parcels, letters and sharpen my pencils. Mark

Re: A full size Native slipjoint?
What type of clip would be preferred? sal I'm enjoying the standard hourglass pocket clip on my Lil' Native slipjoint, after a few days carry from new, so if I had to choose one I'd say to with that on the full-sized Native slippie too. But I also like the wire pocket clip on the UKPK so it wouldn'...

That's absolutely wonderful news, Sal. Thank you for all the info and comments here and the actions you're taking in this one - it's very much appreciated! I don't want to hog the comments myself, so I hope other people will show their interest in the full-sized Native slipjoint, both here and over ...
