Re: Birthday gift knife for me!?

Lucky you. Love my PM 2 in S35VN. The Military was on sale this last weekend at Knife Center I think for just under $200 with Titanium scales. Too late though!

Re: Hey Sal, any plans for CTS BD1N?

I’m going to buy the first Spydie they offer in CTS BD1N. Really looking forward to it. I’m hoping it will make its way to the ClipiTool Standard at some point as well. I have heard it’s very corrosion resistant because of the Nitrogen content and I like H1 in the two knives that I have in that stee...

Re: Spyderco Reinhold Rhino Giveaway!!!

I’m in! My heroes are my uncles who served in the Korean War and never wanted to talk about it. I guess the horrible reality of it was something they wanted behind them. I should have told them how proud I was when I could have. If you are in that situation don’t wait. Thanks for the chance to win a...

Re: Actual users

PM 2 in S110 V, Spydiechef, Chapparal in Raffir Noble. DF 2 in ZDP 189. Hard use knives, one rust proof, a gent’s knife and a lightweight slicer. I don’t think I could narrow it down that much though.

Re: Spydereconomics & a Buy-Sell-Trade section?

I collect Spyderco knives like I assume every other forum member and I have no interest in a BST section. I like the forum the way it is now. I don’t shop the secondary market at all currently and doubt I ever will. Even though I “collect” knives I use them, every one. As I understand it that has an...

I only have one in ZDP 189, one of my favorite steels but I carry something else nearly all the time. I prefer my DF 2, my Chapparal, my ... Well you can see where I’m going with this. Clearly though the price and performance have garnered legions of fans! It’s a great knife, just not for me.

Re: Hi Everyone

Hi, I’m new also though I have lots of knives. Started with another brand and tried out another one or two. I mostly buy Spyderco products now. Great quality. Great variety and nice people here on the forum. Any idea what your next Spydie might be?

Re: Massdrop exclusive knives

I just bought a Massdrop knife. It is a Ferrum Forge Gent. Made in China by WE knives. Designed in California. S35VN steel, titanium frame, G10 slabs. Arrived sharp, centered, good flipping action. I’m satisfied. It was $79.95! I think it’s a great bargain.

Opened some boxes with my new Spydiechef. Wouldn’t use a box cutter or “utility knife” if I had one. Which is crazy I guess.

Re: Spyderco’s Polestar & Alcyone should not be in the “VALUE LINEUP”

I’m hoping both these knives will be available with BD1N at some point. If that doesn’t add too much to the price I would probably buy one. I like BD1 and the gray G10 a lot at the current price and might buy the Alcyone at some point. I am not really a “value” buyer though. I really prefer knives w...

Re: At Last, A Tactical Bottle Opener

I just got mine yesterday. Love it! I'd be very interested in one with BD1N for the main blade and some different tools. My lock was a little stiff but some White Lightning chain lube smoothed it right up.

Re: Steel that takes the keenest (sharpest) edge?

ZDP 189 is the one for me. I must say that all steels can be made very sharp if you are willing to invest time and effort. I also like BD 1 and I think the kitchen knives with MBS 26 hold an edge very well.

Re: Looking for opinions on the Positron good or not so good

I like mine. I don’t own any other flippers so I can’t compare on that basis. Blade centering is perfect (like every Taichung Spydie). Lock bar access could be better. I like the clip. The carbon fiber is awesome. It’s in my pocket pretty often. I did get it on sale for around $100.

The whole world can be your own backyard and everyone is your neighbor. There are tools such as Charity Navigator that can be used to evaluate whether your gift is spent well wherever the charity operates. I volunteer/give of my time/give money both in my own city and far away. As a medical professi...

Re: Native 5 s90v vs Native 5 s110v vs Sage 5

Hi! I only own the Sage 5 but it’s one of my favorite knives. Love the lock, love the CF. S30 V was a premium steel not that long ago and it’s still quite good in my opinion. Easy to keep sharp on the Sharpmaker and doesn’t chip in use like VG 10 can. Hope this helps. You could just buy all 3!

Re: Migration to smaller knives....didn't realize

I carry and use all my Spydies in a very uneven rotation. I tend to use the newest ones more but my Sage 5 is the perfect size. I really don’t need more blade than that. Thinking about a Chaparral as my next purchase because that seems “just right” for EDC. If I were camping or working in the yard I...

Re: What do you want to see more of from Spyderco?

I would love to see a Clipitool Pro with CTS BD 1 N and gray G 10 scales. Would be willing to pay the difference for premium materials.
Scales for the Mule in different colors of G10. Maybe Carbon Fiber.
The Terzuola Starmate back in production.
Or maybe treatment for my Spyderco obsession/addiction!
