Cricket!

Is the techno 2 small enough?

Edit.
I realise they are not "lightweights" but they are not heavy.

Re: 1000 year old Cr steel found

This is really interesting from several aspects. It just confirms to me that there was a lot of high technology in ancient times. I've said for years that the construction of the Egyptian Pyramids were most likely accomplished with some type of "anti-gravity" technology. One example of that was the...

Sal
They both do good ergos, but I like every one of Sals designs. I would just cross my fingers for a backlock.

Re: Any interest in a Spyderco utility knife (box cutter)

I feel like the entire point of utility knives with replaceable blades is to be cheap. Im not sure a more expensive version has a place in the marketplace.

I always liked those super cheap box cutters that were just a slide inside a sleeve.

I like their square faced all digital watches, so basically the 5000 series. I also really like solar power after having had a solar powered dive watch. (Assuming casios solar wprks as well as citizens did)
If you just want basic functions, you can get a solar powered 5000 series for like $110.

Re: Wharncliffe vs. Hawkbill advantages/disadvantages and thoughts about the Yojimbo/Yojumbo

It completely depends on how you use a knife. Some people are really into hawkbills and karambits for lets just call it mbc stuff. I would lean the opposite direction. Stabbing does damage. I am not a fan of giving up the ability to stab if I thought I might need to do it. With that said, you need t...

Re: Spyderco karahawk lock

I would assume that lock is mbc rated and is certainly strong enough.

I take alot of testing videos with a grain of salt, especially if done by a competitor. Its not unbiased.

Re: Yojimbo vs PM2 durability

I would go with a Canis over a Yojimbo, because then you have an excuse to get a Yojumbo.

Vivi beat me to it though. I think the best knife for you would be a waved endura 4, or any of the sabre ground endura 4s.

Re: How about a folding Whale Rescue? Aka a safety tipped Spyderhawk? Rescuehawk?

I have rescued (and freed/cut line off of) more sea turtles and birds than I can be bothered to remember over the past 8 years or so. So, I am not against the idea... But, I feel like I am in the minority in terms of that kind of use, and Im not sure if Spyderco could sell enough to justify the cost.

While the blade and handle dont exactly flow with each other aesthetically. I do like the functional blade shape and clip. It will be nice to have the ability to carry and use it instead of just playing with it. The Benchmade 53 mangus was really the only other bali that ever called to me (along wit...

... Its like the people who bash Harbor Freight and then get stuff from Home Depot and Lowe's that are no better, and oftentimes worse. Harbor Freight has A LOT of awesome stuff at great prices. Sure there may be some junk here or there, especially on newer items, but they CQI just like Spyderco an...
