Approximate age / release date for this Delica

I am trying to figure out the approximate age of the Delica in the attached photo. My recollection is that I purchased this when I was in graduate school, which would make it no older than 1990. I've tried to determine this myself by surfing various SpyderCo knife collector sites, doing web searches ...

Forgot to post where this came from. The seller is on AliExpress, and is not claiming it is a Spyderco, but clearly based on the box the intent is for these to end up in some market being passed off to unsuspecting buyers as real.

Fake Slysz Bowie

Counterfeit Slysz Bowie. Washers are brass instead of phosphor bronze. Backspacer is plastic instead of G10. Blade looks to be D2. No Spyderco lasermarks on the blade. Pivot screws are not inset completely and stick up above surface of scale. Cut in from base of blade to grind does not look as deep ...

I am very interested in a Para 3, but given how many knives I already own, I thought I would skip the stock Para 3 and wait for the first sprint run.

However, I've missed sprint runs before because I didn't find out about them until too late. Is there some mechanism to find out when Spyderco starts ...
