Approximate age / release date for this Delica
I am trying to figure out the approximate age of the Delica in the attached photo. My recollection is that I purchased this when I was in graduate school, which would make it no older than 1990. I've tried to determine this myself by surfing various SpyderCo knife collector sites, doing web searches, etc., but I have had no luck with that. But I thought there would be someone here that would at least be able to narrow it down to a range of years. Note that the steel is ATS-55, in case that helps to narrow it down.

We can narrow it to 2001.
The Boye detent was introduced to Delica3 in 2001, which was the final year these had ATS-55. Starting in 2002, the steel was changed to VG-10, of course continuing with the Boye detent.*
*exception--I have seen VG-10s without the Boye detent, so there must have been some transitional examples getting through.
That is a fine knife, a favorite EDC platform and steel for me. One in my pocket right now.
You sure put a mirror edge on that one.
Keep it always, as a fond remembrance of the fun tough days of grad school. (and see how those years kind of haze over, 1990 v. 2001? ;-)
kind regards,
