Re: Crucarta UKPK?
I know this is a thread about the cruwear version (which would be cool) but how is the UKPK for daily tasks? The SPY27 one would be really cool and am interested in trying one
The ukpk is my current favorite spyderco. It’s knocked off the delica, endela, alcyone (great overlooked knife), chap ...

Re: Crucarta UKPK?
I really like the added weight of the full back spacer. I also have the hap40 caly 3 and I really like the weight of it too. It’s got the full back spacer and liners under the g10 and it feels solid and dense in a really nice way. I know some guys like as light as possible, but I don’t notice that ...

Re: Crucarta UKPK?
I have the HH ukpk and noticed that there’s a longer back spacer on that g10 version than the frn has. Is the strength of the material the reason for that? Are no arts and g10 different in strength?
Anyhow, big fan of both the ukpk and cruwear. Was just hoping they’d be paired together someday.

Crucarta UKPK?
It seems like they’re giving most of the Golden models the crucarta treatment, has the ukpk been mentioned for this? I’ve searched the forum and found it mentioned as a wish a few years back in a ukpk thread, but it seems like the s110v version is what came out of that discussion.

Remember that time...
...that Sal mentioned making the Endela? In happened in the thread about the VToku sprint run, but it got lost in the shuffle, never really addressed, that I saw. But it seems like a bombshell. An in-between size, FRN, Delica/endura family knife is the dream of a lot of spydreco fans. Certainly ...

I just ordered two new knives from Knife Center- a Pacific Salt, and a Pakkawood Hap40 Endura. They came today and I wasn't sure which one I was more excited about. The pacific salt I got for work, for when I have to do landscaping stuff. The fact that someone on here described it as a 'chainsaw of ...

Which will be a more durable edge- serrated H1, or serrated Lc200n?
I know that Lc200n is supposed to be a better steel in plain edge, but H1 has that weird thing where it's 5 or 6 times more durable in serrated than plain, according to that interview video of Sal that was posted in here not too long ago. So in a serrated head to head, which one fairs better? Has ...

What were your first five Spydercos and why?
What knife hooked you? And what did you immediately follow it with? Were you trying to fill different rolls with different knives in those first five? Or were they variations on a theme? Mine were all trying to find THE edc work always everything knife- delica, endura, centofante 3, alcyone, caly 3.

Re: River/PFD Knife?
I'm curious about this too. I'm a kayaker, and I bought my river knife years ago, a benchmade, before I got into spyderco. Although spyderco makes a lot of different rescue knives, none of them seem to have all the design features that you mentioned specific to a pfd and swiftwater rescue.

How likely is it that we'll get a Caly 3.5 Hap40 sprint run next year?
I'm considering it in cf and zdp, but I'd rather wait, if hap40 is coming.

Depends on your cutting technique I guess, but would it make sense to have a blade with a little recurve to it?

Re: Time for a next-gen Centofante?
I love the centofante 3, and wouldn't want to see much changed, but I've always daydreamed about it having a leaf shaped blade instead of the drop point.
A little OT, but I'd love to see the centofante memory in a g10 version. That seems like it would be an amazing edc.

Re: Big-handed people, what's your favorite smallish knife?
I found the Alcyone to be a surprisingly good fit for my xl hands. Great little work knife. The neutral grip really helps. As Evil D mentioned, finger grooves never line up right w my fat fingers. I had to sand them off of my Delica and Endura.

Ive always been really drawn to the Dragonfly design, but I never dreamed it would work for my big paws. I'm excited to try it now. And the Native 5. Thanks for the input guys.

For those of you who like the native 5, do you have to use the choil? Or an you get a really comfy grip without it as well?
