Re: MAP policy change? 35%

Dealers gotta eat. In the end it will probably mean I can afford to buy fewer Spydies. On the other hand a more comfortable margin means dealers will continue to stay in business. Price increases only help profits if the amount of sales doesn't change. Price increases generally decrease sales, thou...

Re: New Models Dropped: Advocate, Rubicon 2, JM2, Junction (PICS)

Any infos about the JumpMaster2 planned as plain edge model also? I would like to know how thick the handle is with the FRN scales. It looks very ergonomic. I own an Enuff for some weeks now and like it very much. The grip looks similar to the compact Enuff just more grip and more ergonomic. As an ...

Re: Maxamet vs Cruwear

What material can cruwear hold an edge through better than maxamet? At a lower angle Cruwear might excel compared to Maxamet. Where Maxamet might chip, Cruwear might not. Let's say less than 15 degrees per side and carving wood perhaps? Pure speculation, I think you may be right, and it would be a ...

Re: Maxamet vs Cruwear

I personally prefer the highest edge retention I can get, therefor I'd go for Maxamet over Cruwear for a folder/smaller blade. However, if you are at all considering going with both eventually, always go with the sprint, as it will be more difficult to get later and likely at a higher price, where ...

Re: Red loctite

I remember something about Spyderco using a new, clear loctite on the BHQ pm2 that was stronger than the standard blue. Have the majority of the comments on FB been about red residue specifically or just having difficulty removing screws?

Re: Para 3 vs Sage 5

Another consideration is the Sage series contributes to Alzheimer's research.

For all of the considerations above, I'd prefer the Sage 5. However, tip up only clips are a deal-breaker for me, so Para3 it is.

Re: Spydiechef (lc200n) performance thread.

It was said (I think in the Amsterdam thread) that the Caribbean will have 2 versions. A- Layered G-10 handle. B- Titanium handle. Both had lc200n.

I have a black FRN, combo edge stretch. I bought it used so I'm not sure when they were made, but they do exist.

Re: A Lightweight Paramilitary 2 would be cool and fun

Id love to see this happen. If it doesn't have a tip down option, though, I'm out.

Since we are talking variants, how about titanium handle slabs with holes milled in to reduce weight and an integral comp lock, like the old ATR? Maybe some lc200n or serrated H1.

Re: I would like something in S110V.

You know what I would really like in s110v? A Yojimbo 2. My same exact thought. I would get one now but I'm wanting to widen my steel collections and already have a para 2 in S30V. It's worth mentioning that the S110V PM2 might be the best all around knife in my collection, but ya, you might not ca...

Re: I would like something in S110V.

I agree with everyone else that the manix 2 is awesome. I like the para2 a little better but the important question is whether or not the one you have is meeting your needs. Do you find yourself sharpening it more than you would like or do you dislike the black g-10? I'd say if your s30v model meets...

Re: Tip up or tip down. Which do you perfer?

If in gym shorts (75%of my life), I carry IWB at 12:15, also tip up. When carrying IWB it's almost exclusively the delica, and sometimes the FRN Native (forum version). I'll only carry a back lock IWB. I am almost always in board shorts and carry IWB a lot too. I carry at 1:00 and thats why I don't...
