Re: Why no choil on the Delica?

I carry either a Manix 2 or PM 2 every day. I don't mind the choils since I can get a full grip without using them, but I would prefer more sharp edge instead. I've been awaiting the Lil Temp 2 for this reason. You can't please everybody, but Spyderco comes close by offering choices for different cu...

Re: Why no choil on the Delica?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but a back-lock knife needs some tang for a kick that holds the edge away from the rocker bar and spring. A delica with all edge and no tang wouldn't be possible.

Re: Why no choil on the Delica?

If you want a choil, Spyderco offers plenty of options. I gave away my Native because I couldn't grip the knife without putting my index finger in front of the guard. Please leave a few knives without choils for those of us who prefer to grip tools by the handles.

Re: Remember the good old sabre grind Delica ?

I like both the flat and sabre grinds. I would also like the option of the hollow grind with an FRN handle.

Re: Interesting LBHB comment from a NKP

Diabolical, I like that. I gave a Dragonfly to a friend who is a woman in her70s. She alarmed a young man when she used it to open a package of coffee. Does that make her diabolical?

Re: Any More Double Bladed Spyderco Folders?

I wouldn't care if the second blade required two hands to open. A larger and locking Clipitool would suit me.

Re: Manix 2 LW 110V hard to open and close.

I have always used both my thumb and forefinger to disengage the locks on my Manix 2 and Manix 2 LW. I find it assuring that I won't unintentionally disengage the lock during use.

Re: Here we go again (Manix 2 vs Cold Steel)

The test assures me that my Manix is durable to a point beyond my needs. I'm not burly enough to break a knife like they did using only my hands. I've carried my Manix as a daily work knife since 2010 without developing any play in the pivot or lock. That may not sound like much, but I use my knife ...

Re: Newer FRN/FRCP, Why so flat?

I find both the Manix LTW and Delica comfortable to use. I had to compare them side by side after reading this to notice a difference in my hand. For me, it's not a factor.

I never thought to use my Spyderco to blow bubbles. I like it.
