My guess was "Because everyone already knows about them and desires one?"
He said "No. Everyone knows about the advertised car makers as well."
I said "Ok. I give up why?"
He said "It's because the people who ...

Re: Spyderco kitchen cutlery
I always clean and dry my knives after use even thought they are stainless. I can't say the same for everyone else in the household though. They don't take care of their knives nearly as well as I do. I treat my knives as though they are sacred compared to some people.

Re: Would a Para Military 2 in FRN or FRCP interest you?
Oh and I forgot to mention I think the G10 scales look more professional than the more plastic-like and cheaper looking FRN and FRCP scales I've seen. I'd just like to see more color choices for the PM2.

Re: Would a Para Military 2 in FRN or FRCP interest you?
I haven't actually tried FRN nor FRCP yet to know what they feel like. I've only seen what they look like in pics.
I only just recently received my very first Spyderco: The PM2 in satin with black G10 scales. Beautiful knife and way way too much fun to open and close. My fingers are like: "Could ...

Re: Spyderco kitchen cutlery
Don't know what Spyderco's stance is but, while I doubt the handles on the new ones would be damaged, the general consensus is that decent knives should never be put in a dishwasher. In addition to the risk of damage due to contact with other objects, dishwasher detergent is more caustic than ...

Re: So what's your favorite steel?
Most of my hard user Spyders are VG-10 and frankly I like VG-10 much more than I do S30V which most of the people really like for some reason. I've not had very good luck with S30V for a lot of reasons. However I do like many of Crucible's cutlerly steels like 440V ( S60V), S90V and their version ...

Re: Ray Allen
Hi,
I would like to mention Jim Ankerson's edge testing thread over on Blade Forums as a good source of info including HRC tested steels mostly of Spyderco blades. Page one gives a synopsis of the testing results etc.

So what's your favorite steel?
Hello, newbie to the forums here!
My first Spyderco knife is in the mail, a PM2 in black G10 and satin finish S30V blade. Can't wait till it gets here! $114 on Amazon.com, but worth it!
So I got to wondering what your favorite steel is on a knife?
I have an 8" Kasumi Chef's knife (Gyuto) in VG-10 ...
