Re: What "Other" is in your pocket???
Sometimes, Esee, sometimes Bradford, sometimes Demko, sometimes cold steel, sometimes Kansept. It changes often. My knife collection 100+ is 60% Spyderco more or less.

Re: Large back lock folders: Endura 4 vs Police 4 vs Stretch 2 XL
I would love to see some pictures of these 3 models together. I want to get a large back lock model in FRN, but these look very similar on paper. What are the real world differences, steel type notwithstanding? What are the ergo differences? I appreciate all input
I have big hands with long, slim ...

Re: Byrd Gooney
Love the gooney, nice feel and that beak just pulls in the cut. I am wanting to say it is my favorite Byrd knife right above the Byrd hawkbill SE. I do like the gooney PE but wouldn’t be opposed to a SE version. A bit more stiff opening than the Japanese counterparts but once it’s broken in it ...

Pretty nice knife, it is very light weight and you can’t go wrong with 390 if you don’t mind patinas.

Re: Superhawk LW k390/magnacut
Welcome back to the forum by the way.
Not sure if you caught it, but they did redo the Meerkat in HAP40 and VToku2... even though with that said it was quite a few years ago now, but still a more modern redo of the original...

They did? darn it I missed that one. Well hopefully if I start ...

Yes it is a nice knife never got the chance to get one. I hope in the future they start bringing back some older models. The meerkat is another one I missed.

Re: Superhawk LW k390/magnacut
I haven’t logged in here in quite a while around 9 years. I still love Spyderco and carry and buy some models. Last 2 were the stretch 2xl k390 and the Byrd gooney. Is there any chance they will bring back the superhawk in LW k390 or MagnaCut. I always wanted one

Re: G-10 Hawkbill Anyone?
Love hawkbills got 4 of the Byrd hawkbills, Tasman h1, ladybug h1, just got the gooney not hawkbill but very close. I want the harpy but the weight and not a big fan of stainless scales. Prefer FRN, g10, micarta.

Re: Smaller knives.Just can't warm up to them.
I had that mind set not too long ago, as I have mentioned before for me the Endura is the perfect knife. But after getting a ladybug and using it as part of my EDC it opened a whole new world to me. I could not believe such a small knife could cut so many things and be comfortable on the hand, keep ...

Re: Tatanka vs Voyager lock strength test By Cold Steel
I guess CS felt Spyderco was stepping on their ground with a large blade offering. So they did a test to show how much stronger their lock was. I would say that if you want a high quality EDC folder with nice ergos, steel and design get a spyderco. But if you are looking for pocket swords that can ...

Re: CruWear vs D2
I got a queen cutlery folder in D2, manix and mili in cruwear, for some reason the D2 was a ***** to get it hair popping sharp compared to the cruwear. Both with a 40 micro even the psf27 mule was easier to get it sharp, why would that be? I mean aren't the 3 very similar?

Re: NEW Mora Knives: Thicker, Heavier.
I got the new pro handle 511, 546, robust, pro c and pro s all are great with very nice ergonomics. But I agree if you want more of a bushcraft survival knife the old mora handle is better, that new finger guard gets on the way when using the knife. The new version of the clipper is awesome also the ...

It was the jewelers hand, with little clips to hold small items and it did look like a spider I saw a picture of it.
