Re: You got your Ceramic Mule. How you gonna sharpen it?

Heyo! Unsure if it's better to keep upkeep for HIC in this topic or start a new one... so forgive my etiquette here if I made the wrong decision.

What kind of upkeep should we consider for this one? Ceramics don't require oil, but is there any special way to clean it or coating before storing it ...

Re: Lil' Nilakka Roll Call!! (Flash Batch Database)

Im going to need a second as a user! This thing is beauteous! Haven't heard much mention of how smooth and gratifying the scales feel, but they're sooo nice! Fortunately, mine showed up a day earlier than tracking had estimated so here it is! and I lucked out with a really cool serial number ...

Re: The Three Spydies

A question like this really makes one reconsider and appreciate what they own!

1. PM2 M390 (No explanation necessary)
2. CF Dodo (Too useful for it's size)
3. Advocate (I know it's early to say that, but it's already displaced my GB2, which would have otherwise held this spot.)

Re: $300 dilemma

Owning all of them, I personally woud say the Advocate. They are all excellent knives, to be sure. You would obviously get more bang for your buck if you went the GB2+Mantra route, and I'm sure you would be happy there as well, but personally, the Advocate checks all the boxes I need in an EDC. It's ...

Re: Advocate release?

I just picked mine up today. It's truly awesome having a dealer nearby! (River's Edge Cutlery in Dublin, OH)
I love nearly everything about it. I'm a huge fan of M4, and even more so of Gayle Bradley's simplistic, 'made for the job' designs. Just a few observations after initial day of carrying/use ...

Re: Spydiechef-am I the only one??

I like mine. I think it's reasonable to warn people to temper their expectations, though.
It seems less a kitchen knife due to size and angle. Holding it as a paring knife is dangerous, as you'd place your finger on the spine for control, which is a no-no. Push cutting feels wrong due to the angle ...

Re: Anyone have a Magnitude yet?

Picked up the Magnitude and Chef just a few minutes ago. I'll post a few picks later today, maybe even a comparison of the Magnitude next to the Rubicon.

Gotta say, I only went to pick up my much anticipated Chef. Wasn't planning on even picking up a Magnitude until I wrapped my hand around it ...

I've been waiting for my 'thumbs up' e-mail, getting nervous... until I just now realized it hit my junk box half an hour ago. Haha! Now comes the hard part.
Also, high-five to Blade HQ for taking a sizeable unexpected problem, solving it quickly and instilling confidence in those consumers who were ...

Yes, I got an error too, now. I know my card is well beyond good, and verified the details. Customer service line is tied up, so guessing this is a big issue... yeesh, they probably couldn't process all the simultaneous charges. Anybody have luck getting through yet?

This was an awesome way to launch an exclusive - notification, countdown, started right on time, and they obviously had plenty of stock ready.
I've only ever ordered once from BladeHQ - is it not official til I get my e-mail? I got the confirmation web page at 12:01...

Re: 52100 Military, what are your plans?

I want to echo an above post about watching lesser known sites - they don't have the same advertisement capabilities, and go unnoticed for longer. River's Edge Cutlery got 3 on Monday, which actually lasted a few hours (I know, because they called me and I happily drove up there to buy one!) I've ...

Re: Lil Lum...Lil Lum...

Picked one up today myself. Really love the blade profile, nothing new there. Problem is after being spoiled with designs like the Dodo, Meerkat and Lava, I have a harder time using handles where my pinky floats off the back end. I'll fix that with a lanyard and it'll be the 1st knife in a long ...

Re: Spyderco Hawkbill Blades: Much Misunderstood

As the Tasman Salt was my 1st Spyderco I ever saw, held and purchased, hawkbills will always hold a special place with me. As for practicality, it is one of the few knife configurations I feel comfortable/proficient with in my non-dominant (left) hand. In a reverse grip, it feels as natural in my ...
