Re: BHQ Paramilitary 2 CPM M4 Exclusive.
I've cut some fruit and an onion with mine but I don't have any patina like those shown here. Perhaps I cleaned mine of to quickly

Re: CS Exclusive Orange Paramilitary 2 DLC CTS-XHP
I'm really digging that dlc blade on the orange! Better than the satin version. Tomorrow should be the day provided the usps doesn't screw it up like my last knife delivery!

Great pic! Wish I'd gotten the PM2 bug earlier, I've missed some great combos. Oh well, better late than never!

Re: CS Exclusive Orange Paramilitary 2 DLC CTS-XHP
Just got off phone with CS to inquire about the status of my order since some have said they have tracking numbers already here and on other sites. The nice lady on the phone told me that the PM 2's just landed in their shop this morning. They will begin shipping today so keep your eyes peeled for t...

Re: BHQ Paramilitary 2 CPM M4 Exclusive.
I'm in for 2, and not to sell either of them. One user, one in the safe as back up. I've been dying for a pm2 in M4!

Re: CPM REX
I find it no more difficult than working with a carbon steel. It does take a bit longer to refine the final edge, but reprofiling to the point of burr forming isn't bad at all. I should have mentioned initially, i am working with Diamond stones. Point being, with the right equipment, working with so...

Re: CPM REX
I guess I'll be getting my first mule when this one is released!
Side note, I've got 2 s110v spydercos. They are the manix2 and pm2. I find this steel quite easy to reprofile and sharpen.

Re: Unashamedly positive post about my new Native 5 G10
Thank you Saintly, although Luke at Cuscadi and Steve Ketchen deserve all the credit. Here's a few shots next to the desert ironwood Sage 4. http://i780.photobucket.com/albums/yy85/dnairradiator/IMG_5781_zpsf44a1350.jpg http://i780.photobucket.com/albums/yy85/dnairradiator/IMG_5789_zps7ddbf9ee.jpg ...

Re: let's talk about blade play...
My native 5 is solid. My frn blades have varying degrees of it. Seems the longer the blade the more noticeable it is.

Re: let's talk about blade play...
It's an inherent quirk of most lockbacks. You can tighten a bit of it out but that does effect the action. IMHO, the best way to avoid this is to keep the knife very sharp and use more sawing motions. If you have to muscle through something you are going to feel the movement quite a bit more. Then ...

let's talk about blade play...
Just got my new zdp stretch. Very comfy knife and everything looks good.
It does have some vertical blade play, it's solid side to side.
I think i read it is normal to have some vertical play on a lock back. Is this true?
