Re: Updated steel for The Bow River

A solid colored micarta or g10 handle would motivate me to buy another one at least as much as an upgraded steel.

Re: Do you clean your micarta scales?

If they’re dirty, I wash ‘em up. Then wipe the blades down with a microfiber cloth and a dab of mineral oil. Really brings out a nice luster on the micarta for a while. These haven’t seen anything recently though.

Re: That Metropolitan is mine !

Interesting. I didn't realize that the Metro is essentially a re-bladed SpyDK! That was one of my favorite slipjoints, and unfortunately I lost it some years back. Is this Metro ground as thin BTE as the SpyDKs were?

Unfortunately I need new batteries for my micrometer, so I can’t say for ...

Re: That Metropolitan is mine !

It’s sweet that these are finally here. I like the Urban, but the Metropolitan is a bit more like a mini UKPK. Hand a little less cramped, thumb ramp isn’t as dramatic, a smidge more blade. Knew the scales were a winner when I picked up a closeout SpyDK ages ago, been a long wait!

Re: UKPK SPY27 in G-10 availability

It appears to still be in stock at multiple other retailers if you don’t want to wait. River’s Edge, Knifeworks, SMKW…

MAP is really good on these at just slightly more than some of the frn versions, so not surprised they’re selling out.

Thank you. Just remembered there was talk of a “CKPK” as well as one point, which may have added to my confusion.

Caly 4 lw?

Hi all,

Been a bit out of the loop for a while. Trying to sort out if the Caly 4 lw is a real thing that’s in-the-works or if it’s just something I hallucinated and want to believe is real???

Anyway, please, hoping someone can help a brother out and set me straight. Did some searching here and on ...

I’ve always wanted 52100 in micarta. Leaf or drop blade, either would be a grail for me.

Re: The more I carry and use the UKPK the more I like it

My top three most carried knives are the Chaparral, Urban, and UKPK… but really the UKPK has run away with it by a large margin. Have at least half a dozen and have gifted away several more.

The plain edge LC200N Salt has hardly left my side since I got it. Darn near edc perfection for me.

Re: Black blade for Para 2 left handed

A factory dlc, blacked-out left hand pm2 would be a personal grail. Sadly I think too many lefties are happy to adapt instead of buying up the satin lefty PM2s (& Millies) they made and demanding more.

Re: Spyderco Bow River

Have used mine in the kitchen almost daily since it came out. Not for making big family meals, etc, but for smaller tasks while preparing individual meals for myself or my daughter. It’s great, very useful and well finished for its price point. Would prefer an ambi kydex sheath as a lefty, but the ...

Re: Why is the Kapara so overlooked ?

I didn’t buy the Kapara due to the comp lock as I’m spoiled by the left hand pm2 and no longer own any other standard comp locks except the Sliverax. Have my fingers crossed for the slip joint version, but not sure the demand is there for it.

Kinda wish I had held out for that M4 Chief for my swap. XHP is fine for my needs, but M4 is one the keeps eluding me for whatever reason. May buy the current Delica exclusive just to check it out.

I agree! Did you RIT Dye it or scale swap?

Thanks guys.

This one is a scale swap. Not perfect as the backspacer sits just a bit proud of the liners on it, and vice versa on the satin/orange s30v one. Really like the blacked out Look on the Chief though.
