Are these all sold out?

There's still a couple on Ebay right now for not terrible prices, but I'd think a bunch more dealers will have stock soon. Blade HQ (pre-order) and Cutlery Shoppe had them with a free shipping option, but looks like they're both sold out at the moment.

Unexpectedly arrived a day early, this is awesome!

Blade HQ has them in stock. DLT is OOS.

Still showing a $5 pre-order for me. Not sure when it went up, but I placed an order there this morning.

Re: Where is my Bow River ?

Waiting this long for a right hand only sheath is a bummer for me, but I'm still in.

Re: So about that "red" Loctite...

Yeah, that's rough. I don't do much disassembly, but do reposition most of my clips for left hand carry. The clip screw on my Sliverax had copious amounts of loctite like that. A soldering iron saved me from stripping the screw entirely before I got it out, but it's still mangled. Old pic from the S...

Re: COFFEE: Who Drinks The REAL Stuff? Gourmet Beans too?

I'm in pretty deep. Currently use a Cuisinart Grind & Brew with a burr grinder and use whole beans exclusively. I buy from local shops that do their own roasting when I can, but don't have a place nearby that's real convenient so we end up getting beans from the supermarket fairly often. Starbuck's ...

Ha, in my first post in this thread I said a new g10 UKPK looked unlikely and news of the exclusive broke a little over a month later...

Maybe now I should say the slip joint Lil Native looks unlikely? :p

Re: Frankenstein titanium UKPK?

^Yeah, if I recall correctly the old g10, cf, and ti UKPKs use 3mm stock. The frn ones and the current HH exclusive use 2.5mm stock. Don't know enough about the internals to know if moving the backspring and blade together would work. My suggestion would be to just buy a g10 one from HH and a couple...

Re: Knives you rarely carry but hesitate to part with for non sentimental reasons?

I just inventoried my Spydie folders the other day and the count is up to 36. Out of those I only came up with 3-5 that I might sell to make room to pick up a couple of newer releases. A few years ago I set an arbitrary limit to try and hold my "collection" to 2 dozen folders. It felt like a generou...

I'd like to see the LC200N UKPK that's been talked about happen. Might pick up a Native Salt soon.

Re: Chalkiness on the Waterway handle

I have a lot of micarta handled knives that get a bit "chalky" when they dry out too much or get washed with dish soap. Mineral oil is my go to for that and also for occasionally wiping down carbon steel blades. I've also read good reports about Balistol, which is also supposed to be non-toxic and f...

Re: Smallest spyderco you are comfortable with?

Manbug Salt has been on my keys since they dropped. It does get used for odd jobs, but not a ton. I usually have something else on me. The Urban, Baby Horn, Pingo and SAK Cadet are my smallest knives that get carried. Maybe throw in the Chaparral, but it's a little larger. The Dragonfly's ergos neve...

Re: My Next Spyderco??

Late to the party, but wanted to put in a mention for the frn UKPK and Urban slipits. I like a locking blade as much as the next guy, but these have become two of my all-time favorite and most carried models (right up there with the Chaparral lw). :)

Re: Ouroboros G10 polished and contoured

Thanks for the info. I've done a fair amount of hand-sanding on various handles, but nothing quite that dramatic.

I'd guess the trick is to to go slow, but how is the Dremel work with the sanding barrel? Is is fairly forgiving to use?

That looks excellent D, thanks for the pics.

What kind of grit progression did you use? Looks like a finish similar to your Kiwi 4 iirc.

Haven't faced that before, but some ideas are magic eraser, 50/50 mix of rubbing alcohol and white vinegar, acetone, or ammonia. Good luck!
