Im in a similar situation. Its not that I cant spend the money on the big boys... its just that im not a collector and cant justify the cost.

I love using the wave. Don't see any cons to it really. If I want to pull it out slowly, I slide the knife forward as I draw. Anyways, I use a kydex wave on my endura. Much more reliable than the zipties, since it digs into your pocket more, and I haven't really noticed any damages to my pockets ...
