Re: St Nicks Native 5 4V Lightweight

I received a response and apparently my order was flagged as potentially fraudulent so it’s their policy to just cancel it no questions asked.

I don’t agree with how they handled it or the response I got, but it is what it is. They obviously need my money like I need another knife

Re: Spyderco Shaman Lock Up Issue

Excess oil on the lock interface/cutout can cause over travel and stick, it could be your problem, try and dry it out or blow out with some compressed air.
I have had this a couple times with new comp lock knives that came generously lubed. Otherwise spyderco would be the best people to help..

Re: Strong Smell

Because they also sell to many large wholesaler/distrubuters who then sell to their retail sales customers, and finally to us. I’m not sure how that would prevent that information being made publicly available? Spyderco knows who they sell to, the distributors know who they sell to, if your concern...

Re: First Spyderco maxamet ?

Do you have any sharpening experience or equipment? You say this is your first knife?

I would suggest a vg10 delica and a sharpmaker instead.

Re: Strong Smell

My dad said, "Buyer beware." I am sure he did not coin the phrase. Caveat emptor, quia ignorare non debuit quod jus alienum emit ("Let a purchaser beware, for he ought not to be ignorant of the nature of the property which he is buying from another party.") Another good rule is that if it’s too goo...

Re: Blade HQ copper rex45 pm2

Fwiw pretty sure flytanium is US owned, manufactured in china perhaps but excellent quality. Also believe the owner/operator has ties to bladehq, an employee or ex employee or something. They wouldn’t be flytanium scales based on what eric mentioned about the partial liners as the flytanium ones are...

Re: New Member: Info, purchases, and other ramblings

Very nice, congrats on your new blade. Everyone has differences of opinion on blade centring, it doesn’t really matter as long as the blade is not rubbing on the inside, however it would bother me personally. Most of the time it’s due to a loose pivot, try tighten the pivot screw and you should see ...

Re: New Member: Info, purchases, and other ramblings

I was thinking more about this knife and the proposed blade swap, and it occurred to me (as per w3tmz above) that this particular knife poses unique issues. The CF/Ti military is actually a frame lock knife, whereas the other military is the usual liner lock. This very well may pose problems. In an...

Re: Anyone else dislike the wire pocket clip?

Imo its not so much the type of clip but as bbturbodad has illustrated where the bend ends up on the handle, I can see where the clip on the lil native would be uncomfortable. Probably the biggest revelation for me with deep carry clips, wire or aftermarket, is that they feel much better in hand.

Re: New Member: Info, purchases, and other ramblings

Welcome, as to swapping the blades over, you want to swap the scales not the blades. Keep the liners/locks and hardware with the original blade it came with and you will be fine. If you start mixing and matching locks and blades you could be in trouble. All the best. Swap the blades yourself. It wil...
