I've purchased a few Spydies from BBS and have been very satisfied with all purchases. Regarding some of the OP's concerns:

QC - I would expect Spyderco to QC their product before sending to the dealers, so I can't really fault BBS for not rechecking every knife before they ship them out to ...

To the OP...

Given your list of options, the only way I'd be considering the Manix 2 in BD30P was if you didn't already have the standard Manix 2 or wanted to replace it with a FFG version *AND* you could pick one up for around the cost of a standard Manix 2 (maybe slightly more - which was my ...

As much as I love the Sage 2, I'll have to pick the Sage 1 as my favorite. Its got this glassy smooth action and rock solid lockup. Also the cf just feels really good in my hands. I would have to say the Sage 1 is my favorite Spyderco knife at this time.

That said, I can certainly understand why others would prefer the PM2. The beauty of collecting ...

I've had good dealings with BBS as well. Products delivered as promised, and quick to respond to emails. The new Spyderco catalog show's the 2012 Manix 2 will get S30V steel, but looks like still in a hollow grind. I picked up the Carpenter BD30P (Carpenter's version of S30V) from BBS since it ...

Early Delica 1 with Spydie edge purchased new circa early 1990's (?). Carried daily for many years until a couple of years ago the molded in clip caught on the seatbelt getting out of the truck and snapped off. Super-glued it back on and it held for a few months, but then snagged on a seatbelt again ...

Where in the queue?

Has anyone that placed their pre-order around December 19th received their invoice yet? Just wondering where they're up to in the queue.
