I have the slightly smaller model of this with a VG-10 blade, but same overall shape and handle design.
I waited until they were offering tip-up carry clips, since they started out with mostly tip-down.

I like what they have done, especially with some of the newer models, as they are a little thinner blades than previous models were.
I got into them mainly because of the Elmax blade steel option, since Spyderco only offered a dealer exclusive in it at the time.

Kizer is putting out some very high-quality knives. I have bought three of them in the past month and am quite impressed by the fit and finish of them. They are one of the best deals in the knife world right now too. All of mine have flippers, thumbstuds, and openback/flow-through construction:
