Yes, I have both of his recent books from the past couple of years.

I haven't gotten around to getting his videos, he does have a Youtube channel too.

I like what they have done, especially with some of the newer models, as they are a little thinner blades than previous models were.

I got into them mainly because of the Elmax blade steel option, since Spyderco only offered a dealer exclusive in it at the time.

Can't wait to see what they will ...

Kizer is putting out some very high-quality knives. I have bought three of them in the past month and am quite impressed by the fit and finish of them. They are one of the best deals in the knife world right now too. All of mine have flippers, thumbstuds, and openback/flow-through construction:

It is partly due to them not converting to the digital age fast enough. They really should have gone for being made available on the Amazon Kindle e-reader, among others.

I don't have any of these. But I do recall other Marines in the Infantry platoon I was a part of having Aus-8 Enduras.

I think that they were fully serrated models, But I can't recall for sure.

I hadn't gotten into Spyderco yet at the time.

I picked up one of the CQC-6Ks too.

I don't care for a lot of the usual features on Emersons, but they got this import line just right.

I do like the ergonomics on most of the Emerson knives, but I don't care for the chisel grinds or chisel edges.

(Well, not counting the too short screw problems ...

I have both.

The Knockout I have is the first generation with the thin G10 handle scales. They went with aluminum after these.

I find the handle to be too thin, I do like the blade shape though.

I really like the Piston. The handle feels really good. Mine has a weaker spring-opening action then ...

I don't mind the stone-washed finish.

It is better than the bead-blasted finish in my experience.

I am glad to see that most knife making companies have phased the bead-blasted finish out.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 has been recently released.

I, too, prefer Android over Apple.

I just wish that it was a 3.5-* to 4-inch blade.

Yes, for the most part, forums and the various social networks have replaced knife magazines for me too.

I still subscribe to Blade because it is fairly good for an overall view of the knife industry.

It only costs $20 a year for the digital subscription too.

I have to agree with the general thought shared in the previous posts of this thread:

It is tricky business to try to educate someone that doesn't know any better when it comes down to quality cutlery.

I recently noticed that a guy on my bus route started carrying a cheap, no-name Delica/Endura ...

I consider it a lighter or brighter blue than the Manix 2 Lightweight or the original dark blue that was used on the ZDP-189 Stretch.

It is still a more pleasing color to me than the "Smurf blue" that has been used on the Sage and exclusive Para Military 2.

They probably just haven't gotten around to updating their website or FAQ.

Unfortunately, a lot of companies get caught-up in the day-to-day-grind and tend to overlook things like this.

I too, am glad that this is going to be a regular production knife.

I don't really follow the super steels that much.

But I will get one of these because of the price range.

It is too good of a deal to pass up.

I should have bought one of these when I had the chance...
