If we get a G-10 native with S110V I will buy 2...I will use one as hard as I ever use a knife, and I will put one away for use later on. We get a $300 fancy Ti bolstered Native it will sit there and be useless for me and probably a lot of people.

Economical offerings are important. I love my knives but they are tools. If you're gonna crank the msrp do so for functional sake (blade steel).

I would prefer some colour other than black, but I will take anything so long as it is not titanium or CF as though would make the knife far too expensive for me.

I really dig the Super Blue. Easy to sharpen and takes a great edge.

I agree, especially if paired with a flow through design. Super Blue tends to corrode pretty readily. I have a gyuto in this steel, and if I chop an onion and don't wipe it down ...

I am curious as to what features you would like to see on more Spyderco knives? I would personally like to see more knives with flow-though construction a la the Paramilitary. I use WD-40 mostly due to lack of knowledge about other lubrication products. It's cheap and seems to work well for cleaning out dirt from my Caly3.5.

To be honest, I'd buy just about any knife with an affiliation to the Spyderco forums--regardless as to whether it generated by forum input or decided by someone at Spyderco. The only problem would be if it were prohibitively expensive, i.e. much more than 150 dollars.

Almost done all my sharpening! I wasn't paying attention and went through all the grits, but still didn't completely remove the chips in my gyuto. Rawrg. Oh well, they'll come out in future sharpenings. I still don't have the bevel completely even on my Caly either, which is weird because I set it ...

I am taking a break from sharpening a whole bunch of my knives, and I am curious as to what everyone has on the stones/Sharpmaker/microabrasive film/etc. today?

My to-do list is as follows:
Caly 3.5 in Blue Super (putting a new bevel on it)
M390 Para2 (needs a little bit of a touch up)

Woah, didn't expect to see my thread on the front page. Coincidently, I am currently taking a break from from sharpening my Caly (along with a couple other Spydies and some kitchen knives). I am working on putting a 26-ish degree angle on my knife.

Live up to the hype? It won't even be a decent knife! :D

I am still bitterly disappointed about DNF. I didn't expect much: I merely hoping for a fun shooter. But alas, DNF failed to deliver even that.

I carry mine tip up. I find it more comfortable to reach into my pocket to grab my phone, as the end with the lanyard tube is far narrower. I've tried tip up and the spine of the blade always digs into the back of my hand when I reach for something other than my knife.

I would not be concerned.

It isn't like steel quality has degraded in this generation but for some reason the commonly promoted edge angles are very high. However if you look at older knives, especially very used ones, the sharpening angles were all extremely low - for high cutting ability.
