Yes. There are plans....probably with a new lock. However, it will probably be years away.

Yes, its suppose to be in development, so no real ETA, we do know that its suppose to have a new lock called the "Stop Lock" developed by Sal, I'm sure they'll make it a 4-way clip, maybe small changes in ergos. You could probably find some treads on it in a search for Military 2 or stop lock. There are a couple pictures of how the stop lock works.

Cool. Thank you all for your help.

I'm going to sleep on it but I'm thinking of using my s30v,g10 combo military until the military2 comes out (whenever that is). Not exactly a bad thing. :-) I'm going to try to determine the best complementary simultaneous carry knife to my military and get that as soon as I determine what that will be. Needs to be smaller in size. Any suggestions?

Depends on where you carry. Urban carry or Rural....office or warehouse. etc etc.
I would think that a caly 3 would go pretty well with a millie.

Sal had said earlier that it was in the works, but I am not sure what that means time-wise. I am curious myself. I am wanting another Military sometime, but have been wondering when a Millie 2 might show up.

A Military 2 in CTS-20CP with G10 scales would jump to the top of my short list. While I'm wishing, how about Hunter Green.

SAK Farmer (seriously). Or, in another vein, perhaps a Delica (lightweight) or a Leafstorm (pricey but similar lock ergos although it's obviously a framelock rather than a linerlock). For something completely different, maybe a Rescue 79?

10+ points for spelling 'complementary' correctly! :D

Think of the Military 2 as Spyderco's "Duke Nukem Forever."

I don't want to do that because then the Millie 2 won't ever live up the the hype....

Live up to the hype? It won't even be a decent knife! :D

I am still bitterly disappointed about DNF. I didn't expect much: I merely hoping for a fun shooter. But alas, DNF failed to deliver even that.

Ha Ha I was trying to be nice...but you are so very correct. It was a rather dull game and the new additions to play were pretty crap...so this is why we shall not compare DNF to the Millie2.

I'll do you all a favor and buy a Military so the Military 2 will come out. That's how it happened with the Paramilitary...by the time i got around to buying one, the Para 2 was released and then i had to buy that too.

Yeah, I shouldn't have made the comparison, I realized. I was just talking about the "anticipated for so long that it becomes an insider joke" part, not the "can't live up to expectations" part.

Ha Ha yeah I figured...though I think that there is probably some that are into a new Millie and some that want to keep the old.

Remember this post....because the first complaint will be that it has an hourglass clip and everyone misses the 3 screw clip ;)

For all I care the only thing they really need to do is make it tip up carry. That is the only reason I dont own one. I can not stand tip down, but everyone is different. I love the military but will not compromise my carry preference for it.

It's super easy to modify one for tip up...if you have a dremel and any kind of crafting skills you can make a small piece of metal to inlay into the butt of the handle and drill/tap it for screws and put the clip wherever you want. Just a thought.
