figured I'd share my results with you.

The method used was always the same:
- Degrease knives (bathe in hot water+dish liquid)
- Heat up water (600-800ml) until just boiling
- Add half a ...

Yes, it does. I'd say I have small to medium hands.

Thanks for the heads up! I just ordered two. Could have waited for it to be available in Europe, but our German distributors apparently don't have an ETA yet. :rolleyes:

Both Manix and PM2 are nowhere near the 940's pocket-space-efficient, narrow design.

For me, the Spydie that comes closest is the Centofante 3. Similar handle length and -shape, narrow blade, slighty shorter blade.

I got a replacement from my dealer. This one is fine, so all's good now. :spyder:

Ok, so:

- Graphite/Pencil doesn't work
- Sharpie makes it even worse

The only thing that's helped so far is Nano-Oil, directly on the blade tang. Isn't that messed up

Not longer, but certainly more cycles. I'd say a few hundred.

I do know the pencil trick, but it did nothing against the stickiness.

I've been playing with it for a while now and it's still as sticky as it was originally.

My Southard has lock stick. Does yours have or did yours have any and if yes, did it go away over time?
I seem to be having no luck with Spydie flippers.

It may be a problem. Having said that, sometimes this goes away after a little use. How long have you had it? What percentage is your lockup?(very early lockup sometimes does that)
I say, use it a little more, then decide.
Spydercos rarely do this!

I just got the Domino and so far, I'm loving it.

I have noticed the slightest of lock rock, though. Not blade play, but if you grab the blade tightly and wiggle it up and down, you can feel the lockbar give a little.

Ok so now I have a Sage 2 with exactly the same problem. Within a month, the detent ball has worn to where opening is no longer smooth. If I release the lock, the blade swings freely, so its definitely the detent ball dragging on the blade thats causing that. My second concern is that if the wearing ...

I ordered 10W Nano-Oil from the US and it arrived yesterday. I tried it on 5 different knives (3 Spydie Backlocks, one Liner, one Axis) and I can definitely tell a difference in all of them. Before, I was using Ballistol and some WD-40 now and then.
They're all much smoother now. Nice stuff :)

If not the play may stop when the knife gets broken in. Locks are made these days that will "settle" into the locked position over time. The BBL for example. As the bearing goes in and out of the notch the notch may wear bigger but there is plenty of room for the bearing to go farther into the ...

Well the law basically says that you cannot carry weapons in public.
So whether it is legal to carry a certain fixed blade depends on if it is classified as a weapon.

This, too, is not 100% well defined.
Knives that are designed as weapons and/or advertised as such, are always classified as weapons ...
