The clear is cool looking. I can't help but wonder how fast they get scratched up and cloudy looking or junk accumulates under there and looks grungy. Any insights into how well these wear in and age? I'm tring to EDC these more since posting this, even trying deliberately put them in the same pock...

Absolutely brilliant! I really like the clear/GID combination, especially so on the Para2. I too am curious about plans to produce a batch of these scales for sale. Thanks for the kind words everyone! No plans to make any quantity of these at the moment, but if there's enough demand I may (with Sal...

Clear scales - Down Under!

I don't normally post much here, these were originally posted on ABF but Sal suggested I post on here too, hope you guys enjoy and let me know what you think? It's quite amazing what you can achieve when you have a large CNC at you disposal, range of materials and a passion for Spydies! The scales a...

Ditto. That Para is the perfect size. If I need anything bigger, I have the Millie. If you actually read what he wrote, Eric didn't say that he didn't like the idea but that he'd never given any thought to it - until now! Also bear in mind that this is only his 22nd post in almost four years...! :c...

What a lot of people are forgetting is that there's a lot more to a knife than the type of steel or hardness. These will make a big difference on how easy/hard they are to sharpen, and sure there are some great "super steels' like CPM M4 or ZDP where the difference is clear. However, you have t...

Reject, I think your Spyderholism is starting to rule your life again - time for more treatment :spyder: A smaller Millie, that's a brilliant idea. One of my favourite designs, but a bit too "tactial" to EDC. If we can get a Dragonfly size Millie, that would be my #1 EDC work knife (my SS ...

My prize arrived a couple of weeks ago, took a while longer due to Australia's very strict (and strange?) import restrictions on folding knives. Due to renovations I wasn't able to take any photos... But I really wanted to share this and to thank the organisers once again! http://i1140.photobucket.c...

Big THANK YOU!!!

I just wanted to say thank you to everyone who was involved in putting this competition together! Big thank you goes to my mate Rob (aka Reject) for giving me the inspiration to create the Spydie Scorpion and also encouraging me to enter in this competition. Very happy to see his name also in the wi...

Scorpions are Spydies too!

This is a tribute to the creative genius of my mate and fellow Aussie, Reject and his original Spydie Spider! Few people realize that scorpions are also Arachnids (spiders), and their favourite food is eating other spiders. Here's mine: http://i1140.photobucket.com/albums/n566/Knife_Knut/IMG_6442-1....
