My Persistance "value folder" was probably the sharpest blade OOTB that I have. My Delica was sharp too but the Persistance was hair popping. Manix was usably sharp but by no means what I expected. In jeans I have no problems. In slacks my pocket space becomes a little limited. Either way, its worth it.

Gin-1 and 8Cr13Mov are quite comparable though I'd give the Gin-1 a slight edge. My first Spydie was a Hunter in Gin-1, that I've used for 15 years or so. As an owner of both a Persistance (value folder) and a Delica, you will be happier with a Delica, in my opinion. I carry the Persistance often only because I like the fact the cutting edge is the entire length of the blade. Makes for more cutting with a "somewhat" compact knife. Though, not as ...
