I'd have to agree with those recommending the Sage line. The Sage I is my personal choice, and is an amazing value.

I owned both the Sage 1 and 2 recently, and decided to sell one. I kept the Sage 1, which was somewhat surprising, as I expected to keep the 2. The CF and liner lock on the 1 are fantastic. Plus, I prefer the darker wire clip.

The secondary market can save you a bit. I managed to find a NIB Sage 1 for $80 all-in.

That's a good thought, but based on the cost of the G-10 Manix 2 and the pattern of price between G-10 knives and FRN knives (I'm assuming FRN is comparable to FRCP) then there will be a hefty price difference between the FRCP Manix 2 and the Sage 3.

Any chance that we will see a smaller version of this down the line? I think this knife and a mini-version would make a ...

The Sage 1 is my current EDC as well, and it's great! I wasn't a big fan of the Sage 2 though, so I sold it. Maybe I'll think about a Sage 3 at some point...

I've only owned the Sage 1 and 2, and prefer the 1. I was very surprised, I expected that the 2 would win out. The CF scales really do it for me, and the 1 is much smoother in my hands than the 2.
