Have you tried washing out any grit that might have crept in? Or putting a little oil in it? I would save the postage until the basics are tried. Knives are similar to any non-sealed machinery. I could live with the grittiness if it was the main issue. It's the fact that the lock-bar gets stuck und...

Has anyone heard of any problems with the lock on the new Yo 2? I received mine about three days ago and the lock was fine out of the box. After about 20 openings, the lock developed a grittyness that gives me chills every time I disengage it. Then the lock started getting stuck under the stop pin a...

Lately, I've only been interested in sprint runs as far as Spyderco's go. I love the unique colors and added performance due to the typically upgraded steel choices. I'm absolutely in love with my Earth Brown Military, I couldn't have gotten a more perfect specimen. CTS-XHP is supposedly a great ste...

A sprint run is a great idea.

I hope he makes a 2 per limit on this one so the sheabay scalpers can't jack the prices up.

I don't know about the red dot but I just posted a thread about how to clean G10. I use the Mr. Clean Magic Erasers on my lighter colored G10 and it works like "magic." It's the best/easiest thing I've found to clean G10 yet. Now I don't worry as much about using my lighter colored Spydies...

Just FYI: "Monolock" is Benchmade's own term for "frame lock" or "RIL for Reeve Integral Lock," which they've never given credit for, as far as I know.

I'd say get a Delica and if you're willing to spend $10-$15 more, a Native is also a great choice. I wish the Native had an adjustable pivot but it's not a deal breaker for me. I love mine.

The Manix 2 disappears in my pocket, surprisingly. The clip-profile rides pretty low and it doesn't feel bulky to me.

The Manix 2 is one of my favorite Spyderco's.

Although Gin-1 has higher Carbon and Chromium levels I believe that the Nickel and Vanadium in the 8Cr13MoV gives it a s slight edge, pardon the pun, over Gin-1.

I'm just basing that off of looking at the steel chart in the Spyderco catalog.

Personally, I have purchased over 20 Spyderco knives in the last six months because of my bonus and tax return (I'm mentally sick over Spyderco knives) and every one of them has come absolutely razor sharp. They don't put a mirror finish on the edge but they're always sharp, at least in my experience.

I'm right there with you and I'll continue to spend my money as long as they keep making cool sprint runs and cool knives in general. I've sold off most of my other knives made by other companies because they just don't do anything for me anymore now that I've realized that Spyderco is the best, by ...

Did the black Manix 2 clips come with black screws and how much did each clip cost? Yes, they did come with black screws. I had an issue with one of the original clips and had to do some swapping and that's why one of them has satin screws rather than black ones. They were about $7 a piece, with sc...

I actually ordered four black Manix 2 clips for my Para 2's from the Spyderco Outlet Store. I like to have the least amount of flashiness possible when I have my knife at work and the black clips also just seem to make more sense for a knife of its nature. I ended up leaving the original on the S90V...

I have 3 and none have bladeplay. One of them did have to be adjusted to get rid of it. The action is smooth on all of them. I just had to tune them the way I wanted. I guess my issue lies with the fact that my first two Para 2's have perfectly tightened pivot screws and the blades swing almost as ...

I was thinking it would look better if the screws and lanyard hole were blacked out like they do on the blacked out Manix 2 but that's not the case.

I will say that I noticed the DLC coating on my Para 2 looks shinier than the coating on my Military. It's smoother and seems like it'll hold up well.

I'm still on the fence about buying a Millie. I want one, but don't think the size would be fit to my tastes. Too bad there aren't any knife shops around here. Guess I'll just have to bite the bullet and buy one over the interwebz. Just do it! You won't regret it. It's not as much of a pocket-hog a...
