First off - thank you for your service to our Country, phogiarg. Based on your description, the new Autonomy might fit the bill. Sal said he designed it with the USCG in mind. It doesn't meet all of your requirements - but it is ONE SWEET KNIFE! H1 - check Deep carry clip - check Partially serrated...

My dream knife for work (military application)

I am active duty in the USCG and being around the ocean and ships daily as a whole most people carry a knife. Serrated or partially serrated edges being required for most units. The Spyderco Salt series is extremely popular because of the H1. I personally own a Spyderhawk SE and a Salt PE. I find th...

Aqua Salt is good, it feels a little less sturdy than most fixed knives, but for a fishing, dive or extreme salt environment I think its amazing.

So Valentines day was pretty awesome for my girlfriend and I. I get her a box of chocolates, wine, crackers cheese, and all sorts of stuff like that. She gets me a Cold Steel Ghurka Kukri! http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y95/phobiarg/AlexKnifeCollectionUpdate.jpg We both surprised each other and lo...

Nice collection! what do you think about the aquasalt? Because it interests me for dive. The Aqua Salt is pretty cool, would be a great dive knife, I feel its more of a light use fixed blade. I'm sure I could thump on it, but it doesn't feel like a big strong survival knife like the LMF or Kabar, a...

Why is Safety Orange on so few blades and mostly Slip-Its

I would kill for a Manix in safety orange. I'd also buy a delica with G10 with FFG if it were orange. I love the orange handled blades, much more socially acceptable in the workplace.

Mule Team as a small outdoor knife?

Im trying to get a decent small fixed blade that can be a backup blade for my KA-BAR for camping. Im thinking of buying a Mule Team for the job. Would the CTS-BD1 steel be a good steel for the job? I know nothing about it or the G2 steel its similar to.

Girlfriend just got her first knife and I didn't even suggest it.

So I went to Kittery, ME to the Kittery Trading Post with my girlfriend. We started looking around and quickly found the knife section. I was loving the fact that they had a on of different brands. Unfortunately their Spydie selection was disappointing to me. I started looking at other knives in the...
