If you want a bigger knife.. go with the Sage.

It is more hand filling than the Caly 3.

I've had both.

I traded the Sage away, and will not trade the Caly 3.

Sounds like for $5, you get a factory resharpening, they probably will re-profile, and then you can determine if indeed the heat treat has been ruined enough to impact the knife's performance.

I always learn something from folks on this forum. Mostly, it is learning about new knives I had no idea I needed, prior to getting on the forum. Everyone is also very courteous and willing to impart knowledge they have on their Spyderco's.

All of my folders that get regular carry, are in the 2" - 3" blade length range.

Many of my EDC's are 2" in length, and I carry them either clipped, sleeved, or simply placed in pants pocket or the little coin pocket of my jeans.
