I have an all stainless Rookie that I used to carry IWB, but have noticed that on hot days, when you're sweating, this can create small spots on the steel. Though it is only a darker shade of the steel, I think this is a rust spot. May want to be careful. }{ A blind man uses a kind word and open han...

I'm surprised nobody else has responded. Not that I own one myself, but I have held it on one of my frequent trips up to SFO, and let me tell you, the thing melts into your grip! I had to let it go reluctantly. If you're looking to buy- Just do it. You'll be glad you did. <img src="spyder.gif&q...

Actually, yog, MANY people should not be trusted with sharp objects. Knives, pencils, Q-tips, you name it.

ATTN: SpyderNut- I'd have to agree with ATE on the switchblade thingie. Not bad blades, but why bother? In need of self defense, you need to fish around in your pocket, mess with the safety and then open. By then, a could be o...

Actually, the leaning of the liner lock doesn't necessarily pose a problem. In shoddily built blades this CAN (but does not necessarily) show as a sign of lock defeation. Matter of fact, I own a blade of a different brand name (though not proud of it) that slides ALL the way to the non-clip side of ...

I think I'll have to agree with Ryan on this one. Though I haven't heard much about miltec, Ballistol is the way to go. Try to stear clear of WD-40. It was not meant for this kind of metal, this kind of tool.

I have to adree with Spyderholic. Most anyone you lend a quality piece of cutlery to is going to mutilate themselves. Just look at the situation and use your own judgement, your own tool. No one knows it better than you. In short, NO, I would not lend out my Spyder.

Liner lock problem

In the Tekno-junkies forum a question was posed about the liner lock of a recently purchased Chinese folder. Apparently the liner lock is sliding closer to the non-clipside of the hilt than expected. This DOES NOT necessarily pose a problem. I myself own a knife of another brand (to my dismay). The ...

May have to elaborate on what type of info. or advice to give these youngsters. What type of use are you educating them on? Everyday use? Defense? Get back to us. But, first and foremost, the knife is a tool, NOT a weapon. Can't stress that enough. Important they know that. No matter the use of the ...

My EDC consists of a 50/50 Renegade in the right pocket rotated with the occasional Starmate and a 50/50 Bugged out Vesusius in the left. Both are beautiful blades. I also carry a stainless handle rookie fully serrated as backup(for them real heavy boxes, y'know)
