I ended up swapping mine at the store, the other one had a smooth action and the lock had perfect engagement.

A quality ultrasonic cleaner might just clean all that gunk of your knife easier than anything else. :p

Rit dye works great on Nylon, holds up great without scratching out easily, I don't know how much different FRN will be, but it goes on great as shown.

You'll have to point out the red to me. The chocolate is brown and the plastic is clear, my toolbox behind them is red, is that what you meant?

Thanks for the props guys, it was a tasty project. :spyder:

Logo Love

I'm taking a model making class in college and needed a design to make a small candy mold (chocolate in this case).

I picked the Spyderco logo, it seemed to me that it would make a good form. So here it is.

The cut out logo glued onto a round backing.

Coarse Leafstorm action

Has anyone experience an almost gritty or coarse feel when opening and closing their leafstorm? It seems to be the detent ball sliding across the blade which has a semi rough grind on it, I imagine it'll wear in fine, but just curious if anyone experienced it.

Haven't cut myself, but haven't used it either. Once you find the way it fits your hand, you'll like it, and you shouldn't have a finger in that area, try gripping it back.

At least for me I hated the fit but loved the knife, then I started liking the grip I found to. I keep fingers away from those ...

I had a bad cut on my knuckle back a few days before halloween, stitches and antibiotics. I had no tendon or nerve damage (at least nothing major).
Glad you got to a doctor. Do try not to stab yourself in the future. :p
