Still going strong with my paper wheels.

I use mine about once or twice a week. I started using it to open boxes since I ended up cutting way too deep with my folder. I've cut into the stuff inside and nicked my edge.

My preference is 30 degrees, inclusive for just about everything. I've got some vg-10 kitchen knives that are 20 degrees but it rolls with any misuse. I'm using paper wheels to sharpen and I've always had a tough time making sure the burrs are gone, so my edges could be more prone to rolling than ...

The edge on mine couldn't shave hair out of the box. One of the rare few that's ever come from Spyderco that way. Not that I ever keep the stock edge anyway but otherwise perfect.

I've noticed that on a few of the Para 2s I have benefited from tightening the stop pin further. I didn't think to shorten it though, well done.

I don't like metal scales, Ti included. I like framelocks even less.

The Southard was designed as a flipper period! Yes, you can open it by the thumb hole but in no means should it be judged by such. IT WAS NOT DESIGNED FOR THUMB HOLE DEPLOYMENT!

Used my Air for 6 hours of wrapping, including a dozen of those things (stocking stuffers for the grandkids) Really worked great. I've used ZDP in the past and I really think the Air did a better job. It'll be with me tomorrow as well.

I agree with Blev except I use my Aeropress with the paper filters. I just pre-soak the filter to get rid of any paper filter taste. I have a beater Manix 2 that I use around the house. I've dug, pried, cut, chopped, left outside, and generally used it w/o giving it a 2nd thought. Aside from a bent tip and frequent sharpening sessions, it's held up just fine. I just bent the tip back and it's hardly noticeable.

From a design stand point, what's supposed keep the lock from sliding back off the tang? Is it lock bar pressure inwards or the geometry of the lock interface?
