The problem is, it does not jump back to the original position. Lockup goes from 40% to 80 or 90% and stays that way even after closing and re-opening the knife! It is now (almost) touching the G-10 scale.

If you do not own a Leafstorm, do not read.

Today I used my Leafstorm to cut something. I used alot of power, alot. I used my fist, so no thumb on top of the knife. After doing that, the lockup changed dramatically. At first the lockup was about 40/50% and after my heavy use it went to 80/90% lockup. What happened??? I heard therLeafstorm has ...

Screws in Leafstorm (and some other knives)

Hi, just wanted to know why Spyderco uses 2 screws in the pivot next to the main pivot instead of just one? They use one larger and one smaller screw. Has it something to do with the strenght that is created this way? or is there a different reason for this.

Thanks for any reply.

Framelock Leafstorm

Hi everyone, I read alot about framelocks and linerlocks and which one is better or stronger etc. I just ordered the Leafstorm with ´framelock´ or how you want to call it but my question is, how strong is such a lock? How much strength is needed to break it? How much pounds or we talking about ...

How to hit those little serrations?

Hi again everybody. Last weekend I tried to perfect my sharpening skills on the Sharpmaker. Used a marker to see if I was hitting the angle and there was one thing I noticed. The big serrations get hit everytime but the littles ones don´t. More difficult to hit them and probably don´t get as sharp ...

How sharp can it get??

Hi, I received my Sharpmaker yesterday. I read the ´book´ and watched the dvd. That made it all very clear and it looked easy to sharpen your knive. So I grabbed my old Spydie I did not use anymore because it got pretty dull and did not know how to sharpen it, and started sharpening it. I also used ...

Loose pivot on SS NavigatorII??

Hello everyone, I am a newby. I got a question for the experts out there.
I received my SS Navigator II this week and when I opened my package there was one thing I noticed. The pivot from the Nav II was visible. Normally this is polished so you almost can´t see it. Another thing is that I could ...
