Ok, so what is the difference between the wilkins scale and the stock one? Just the divits? or is it different material? Worth the price?

This is a prototype, not sure it is on the market yet. The cost is said to be around ~65 but I got this scale set second hand for around ~40. I am not sure how ...

the H1 ladybug look very good!
The Leafstorm is my standard EDC. Small, sharp and very people friendly. I personally find it very comfortable as it rides perfectly in jean's coin pouch

The H1 ladybug rides on my backup keychain in my bag.

Wow! What method did you use to achieve that beautiful knife? rock tumbler, company, etc?

Did you tumble the pocket clip as well? :D

I have wanted to do this the longest time.

I agree with the above comment...stonewashed H-1 would make these blades so great!

My ladybug gets put in the pocket with my keys, I guess I am "ghetto stonewashing" it as we speak.

Spyderco can have another 100 bucks if I find a stonewashed pac-salt (FFG would be preferred) on my doorstep :D

I was stuck in meetings all that morning and casually was able to buy one at lunch time. I even set up a calendar reminder. I figured they would last a bit longer then they did personally.

The problem with marking them "2nd run" then all the "1st run" folks have to make sure to complete the ...

I have had fairly good luck with Spyderco.

I am picky to a point, if I am paying good money for a "high quality" knife, I would at least expect scales to line up and be somewhat finished, blade to be mostly center and the grinds to be mostly even. Some of this could be solved if Spyderco made more ...

The photo posted above does illustrate the issue if you hold the knife with 4 fingers. A simple 3 finger hold would eliminate the slipping problem and is overall more comfortable.

I am fairly sure this is the way it was designed to be held.

I have owned my leafstorm for about a month. I have yet to cut myself on the blade.

As with any liner/frame lock you could cut yourself as your finger will be in the path as the knife closes....I really think is a non-issue. I snap my knives open, but I do take some care when closing them ...

Ah Linux...It is fun, powerful and pays the bills (buys knives) ;)

Ubuntu is the current "hot" linux distribution, I can't argue with that, it is one of the best I have ever used.

I would recommend picking up two current books The Official Ubuntu Server book and The Official Ubuntu Desktop book ...

Can you stonewash H1 steel?

...based on some comments about how easy it is to scratch H1, would it not be interesting to stonewash it to begin with?

The stonewash on the Manix-2 is great, I hope more models will be receiving the same treatment. :D

My Leafstorm arrived with a ton of oil on the pivot...a lot more then most knives, but whatever...it comes off.

The scale was extremely smooth, not really my thing, I like grippy g-10. I am sure you can etch or rough up the scale for some extra grip.

I solved all the issues with a good wipe-down ...

The Strider models feel like tanks, the SnG/SmF especially, I currently only own a PT with black g-10 and stonewashed blade/Ti lock. Most of their knives are not friendly for office environments, so I shy away from the tiger strips and the flamed Ti. The "Strider warranty" is something of legend on ...
