You should be able to find Delica's and maybe Native's at most camping/hunting/fishing stores. Here in California stores like Sportsman Warehouse, REI and Sports Shalet have carried Spyderco but the best selection maybe in small mom and pop shops.

I would say save up some money and buy the delica or centefonte 3. The extra effort will make the knife that much more special to you when you finally get it.

BTW, have you seen all of these knives in person? For me, it really makes a big difference.

Wow, that is one nice looking knife! Looks quite sturdy, and I love the notion of a ball bearing lock. I'm not really ready to plunk down that much cash yet, but the Manix 2 is definitely going on my wish list. Thanks for the suggestion.[/QUOTE"]

How about a Manix 2. You can't beat the quality for the price. It's probably a little more than you want to spend but let me tell you it is well worth it.

Good luck and welcome.

You might want to consider a hollow ground blade. Over 50 years of sharpening will wear a little better with a hollow grind than a full flat grind. My choice would be a Manix 2, Salt 1 or Pac Salt depending on your needs and size preference.

Well, I fixed my M2 this weekend with a couple of drops of superglue, worked like a charm. Only one side was loose so in theory I should still be able to rotate the scales on both sides to clean it if I need to.

Actually, I am eagerly waiting for the FRN Manix 2. I have the original G 10 and CF models, all I need now is a serrated Manix and I'll have all my bases covered. In the video that Wouter shot (Thanx Wouter!) Eric mentioned that it might be available in both FFG and HG. Serrations are still new to ...

Hollow grind for serrated edge?

I was looking through the catalog today and I noticed that almost all of the fully serrated models are pictured with hollow ground. Is that done on purpose? Do serrations work better on a hollow grind than a full flat grind?

I am really excited about the frn M2. Not only is the lanyard hole better but I love the wire clip. Of course I'm going to have to buy one of the Low rider wire clips but I love having that option.

Problem w/ M2 lanyard tube

My CF Manix 2 had developed just the slightest amount of play at the flared lanyard tube. Well, being the handy guy that I am I decided to fix it myself. I cut off the heads of 2 #8 screws, inserted them into the lanyard holes, put the whole deal in some clamps and tightened. The resulting play in ...

My vote is for the M2. I've been abusing mine for 7-8 months now and aside from some scrathes it is perfect.

Fantastic job! Thank you for your efforts.

Wow, there are a lot of really nice knives coming up. I love the frn M2 and I'm looking forward to see what colors they might be available in. The Sage 3 and Para 2 are also on top of my list.

I'm not sure but a lot of plumbing fixtures are made of brass. My guess would be if it can not contaminate the water it shouldn't be able to contaminate you.
