I quit drinking caffeine cold turkey once because it was messing with me in ways that I didn't like, and even something fairly benign like that took a lot of grit to quit. I can't imagine how bad it is with nicotine. Best of luck to you and 45 1/2 hours is a great start!

Ikea sells a cheap knife block, I haven't tried it but it looked like a pretty good deal last time I was at Ikea.

I feel the same way about the G2. Maybe I just don't use pens enough, but every time I tried a G2 the ink always dried up in the tip making the pen scratch/not write.

Speed, I have tried most everything in search of the best thin black rollerball. Everything from Pelikan to Lamy, Zebra, Tombow, Mont Blanc, Rotring and others forgotten. I carried a Mont Blanc for a while, but after dropping it in tall grass and taking almost 2 hours to find it, I retired it from ...

I'm a big fan of Lamy. I'm more of a pencil guy (my favorite is the Lamy 2000), but I also dabble in fountain pens and other writing instruments. I have a Lamy Studio fountain pen that I like quite a bit, but I believe that my next purchase will be a Lamy CP1 fountain pen.

I usually take the picture with the clip facing up, because I'm not very good at posing knives and it is easy to lay them flat when there is no clip in the way.

It's pretty easy to just ignore uninteresting/obnoxious threads. If I check the forum once a day unread threads still rarely fill up the first page of threads.. it's not like bladeforums or another forum with many thousands of members.

Most lockbacks are difficult to flick open, especially the smaller ones. Delicas are possible, but not as easy as any frame lock or liner lock. One exception is the Stretch, at least my example. It is one of the smoothest, most flickable knives I have had.

I don't know why you would want the Tenacious built in Golden, let alone with better steel. There are plent of other better options already out there!
