Re: Swear I lost some

Great thread. Thank you for starting it. Amazing scales! Do you make your own scales from scratch or if not where do you get them?

Thanks yeah I make my own scales. Burl comes from all over the world. Stabilized and bookmatched then onto the blade. Still looking for some more of older mules and ...

Re: Swear I lost some

Nah…just lay out the mule boxes without looking what steel, and put a block on each one :winking-tongue

My hardest thing is finding time with work lately.

I'm in the same boat ! I have many Mules in need of a handle but not much time to even enter the workshop.

But I'm about to finish ...

Re: Swear I lost some

Few special ones there… especially the M4 and the Damascus :hushed-face

Thanks, I am trying to fill in the gaps with the ones I missed. Hard to find a lot of these older mules in NIB condition, but hardest thing is pairing the steels up with the handle materials and mosaics. Will be a fun ...

If that would make it more appealing to you, why not? Its a second and I think the whole idea is to have fun with the blade and experience a new type of steel. You could hand sand the blade to a finish you like or blue the blade or put some sort of coating on the blade if you wanted. You could even ...

Movie "Traitor"

Don Cheadle's movie "Traitor" has him using a spyderco to cut some pencils for use in making bombs. Anyways, just thought I'd throw that out there, since this thread kind of reminded of it.

Manix Black PE

Gotta say that I am most impressed with fit an finish on this folder. It just fits and I love the solid lock up and feel of this one, almost fools you into thinking you have fixed blade your hand. Money well spent. What other spydies are like this?

I would be interested depending on the steel used. That inlay is classic, with some exotic materials, and for all that I would be willing to pay more.
