Day to day living in a large city, strict laws and NKP are a concern for me. So Dragonfly or Byrd Robin size is as large as I like to EDC.

My favorite EDC is the G-10 Byrd Robin. It's small, sharp and inexpensive.

problem with my T-Mag

I was one of the top ten people to order a T-Mag when they went on sale, UPS said they delivered it, but I was home waiting for it and never got it. Spyderco has been great, so far, in trying to figure out what happened, but I am still without my T-mag and finding it hard to read all the reviews ...

Still waiting for mine, UPS lost it somehow  , but one point that I haven't seen made, is the fact that Spyderco never claimed it to be a locking knife. They said that the magnet holds the blade open and the fingers in the choil kept it from closing. I'm sure everone has had a non locking ...

What do you use your SAK for?

Early this summer my bother in law gave me a mini champ, swiss army knife. It's been on my keychain since. It's a cool little knife but I just realized that I haven't used it once. There have been times when I could have, but the life size version of the tools have always been close by. If I went ...

In NY, "gravity" knives are illegal. Make a long story short, based on recent court rulings, if a knife can be spydie dropped, or thumbstud flicked open, and it locks , it is considered a "gravity" knife and therefore illegal. But that's a whole different thread..So you see why the T-mag is so ...

High hopes from a city guy

I eagerly await for mine as well. The reason why I bought this knife was because it had no lock, CF scales, and was $50 less than the UKPK (online). Unlike many of you, it is illegal to carry a locking folder where I live (NYC). That elimnates 99% of :spyder: s I can carry, legally, outside my house ...

I think it would be a good idea. It would give people an addtional reference point when thinking about a new knife they may want. It's nice to see video of the actual knife in the hand, with sound, something you obviously do not get from photos. Plus I'll bet some people don't even know how many ...

I watch a lot of knife reviews on youtube, from this guy that goes by the name nutnfancy. (He's got 3 videos where he goes through the whole spyderco catalog), but anyway, He recommends this site all the time in his videos, and if you've seen his videos, He seems legit...but to be honest I have ...

Anyone have a Byrd Robin?

I originally wanted a D'Fly but without a left hand carry option, being left handed, I could not go through with the sale. After looking at, what I think would be considered it's cousin, the byrd robin. I went for the g-10 one. I already ordered it, so I wasn't really looking for a review, but I ...

I'm all for USA made products....but, for someone on a budget, it's nice to have the option of getting a $30 knife that rivals an $80+ one. I may be wrong but I don't think this happened too much before the byrd line or the tenacious. If you want the "best" steel your gonna have to shell out a ...
