Hi, doopy:
Welcome to our forum. I'll check with the factory and SFO to see if we can get more inventory online.

We hope you enjoy your time with us.

Kristi
Just picked a kit up. Thank you.

Re: Autonomy 1 Kit

Is there a shortage on these kits or are they released in small quantities? I’ve checked the site 30-40 times over the last year and never see them in stock. Will Spyderco replace the spring on these if you send it in?

Thanks.

Re: Does Spyderco warranty LC200N rust?

I wonder if this will be a one and done situation- surface contamination from grinding possibly? I had a very similar situation with an LC200N UKPK shortly after getting it- rusted after cutting food. Once I cleaned that up, hasn't happened again...

Danke, I’m hoping that’s what it is. Sal mentioned Flitz too. Gonna try that. Here’s the best pic I could get in good light after I scrubbed most of the surface stuff off.

Re: Does Spyderco warranty LC200N rust?

Hi Elcapitan, PinchyFisher,

Welcome to our forum.

Hey Wedly,

Did you you clean it off? LC is resistant enough that you should be able to clean it off. If you are really concerned, you might contact Customer Service. We'd probably clean it off for you and send it back. Might be faster and easier ...

This is surprising, because I expect LC200N to be practically rust proof in normal day-to-day situations.

Curious, how/with what did you clean it?

Dish scrubber got some off. I used some of the brown scotch brite and that removed the dark stuff. That’s where ...

Re: Does Spyderco warranty LC200N rust?

The warranty covers manufacturing defects, so no it probably doesn't apply here. You could try using tuf-glide to clean the blade and prevent corrosion, just add a couple drops and wipe off the blade before storing.

I have the liquid and the blue cloth. I wipe down my knives before storage. I ...

Re: Does Spyderco warranty LC200N rust?

I do not believe this is something that would fall under their warranty coverage but it looks like it cleaned up well. Honest question, what are you expecting the warranty to cover in this situation?

I guess I expected it to be rust proof. Is it a flaw in the steel causing rust? Maybe they ...

That’s funny! I was like there’s no way this is rust. Let’s clean this goo off.

Does Spyderco warranty LC200N rust?

I went to pack the knife today. I must not have cleaned it well before storage. I think I had it at the beach last and cut a food package open with it. Before and after cleaning pics. Does Spyderco warranty this? https://i.postimg.cc/z3mVxNKY/IMG-5860.jpg

Compact autonomy model?

I recently purchased an autonomy 2 as my first auto. After carrying the knife for a few weeks It’s been one of the toughest and straight-up utilitarian knives I have owned. For its size it carries well in jeans and work pants. It would be nice to have a less conspicuous little brother (para 3 size ...

Just ordered one of these. Would like to get a spare spring for it, but they’re out of stock on the SFO. Can they be purchased anywhere else?
They'll come back in stock. Just check back on occasion.
Will do. Thanks.

Oh snap, the PD1!

We're so back, boys
I bet the sage 5 maxamet gets discontinued next year. They already discontinued the sage 1 maxamet.
Now we get G10 and FRN replacements in Rex 121

Re: Which spyderco is in the mail?

Just received a sage 5 maxamet and have an autonomy 2 in the mail. I don’t think I could have bought 2 knives that are farther apart on the spectrum. I plan on carrying both so I can be the greatest mall ninja ever!
