Re: Spyderco service really this bad
I did not strip the screw. They did. I understand that mechanical abilities vary by person. But that ain't it. Sorry to offend the fans. I would have drilled it out myself and retapped it but didn't want to void the warranty which I now know is worthless

Re: Is H2 on life support or alive and well?
From what I've seen, H2 is alive and well! I've seen posts here and on other forums where divers, including some guy who is a saturation diver, who swear by the stuff. Anecdotally, I see H1/2 anytime someone talks about hard work on or around water. I'm sure that for a lot of those situations, LC ...

Re: Out of stock on purpose
I believe they purposely do not stock their most popular production models so that veterans cannot benefit from the discount.
I don't think that you are going to find a single vet, firefighter, police officer, or paramedic here who will agree with you. Spyderco as a company, and the people who ...

Re: SE performance is more than simply teeth vs no teeth.
I wanted to form an opinion first hand so I challenged myself to carry and use SE knives for a period. My rotation included various models – Endela (both factory and re-profiled), Native 5, Leafjumper, Salt, and Pac Salt – across different steels like Magnacut, K390, H1, LC200N, and VG-10.

Re: Sage 5 LW advice
Yes you are worrying too much unless you actually have a defective knife. Post a picture of it and folks here will be able to tell you if it is normal or not.
There have been very few issues reported with that knife. Many people regard it as one of the best, if not the very best, EDC knives made by ...

Re: First CPM SPY27
There's no doubting the science. K390 will hold an edge much much longer. But.... if you're like me and touch up your blades all the time, then it's a wash. I don't use my knives for extensive sessions of breaking down cardboard. I have utility knives for that. I don't cut miles of rope. They just ...

Only one thing I can do in order to offer any kind of intelligent reply to this thread. Carry my CE Endela for a while so I can have an opinion on the matter. Will report back later!

Re: Serrated K390 sharpening?
Use a Sharpmaker with CBN rods. K390 just takes a little more work, but I don't have any issues keeping my SE K390 sharp using the method Sal teaches in the product video for the Sharpmaker.

Re: Do I really need a Sage 5 if I already own a Para 3
I´d be interested how much or if at all a difference in "sliciness" can be perceived between Para 3 and Sage... conceptually I clearly think that the 3mm of the Sage blade are more than thick enough for such small folders, but given the a bit taller blade of the Para 3, or possibly the tapering ...

Re: Do I really need a Sage 5 if I already own a Para 3
It's hard to add to what has already been posted. Both knives fill the same need. They are both wonderful 3-inch compression lock pocket knives with finger choils. I can't say that one is better than the other as an overall knife.
