If you do not use a pocket clip, put me in the Delica camp. Like others have mentioned, it is a nearly perfect EDC. I have literally cleaned deer with my Delica, cut open boxes, and cut up my apples, abeit not without cleaning my knife in between.
One of my favorite knives though is the Stretch ...

Re: Boating and lanyards
I used to cat sailing and carried a knife with a marlinspike. I attached a paracord lanyard to it and tied it the drawstring on my bathing suit so that if I dropped the knife or if it came out of my pocket, it was still attached to something.

With a PS and a Delica, you have chosen 2 knives that are lock back knives. And they are very good. If you really like the lock back knife design, then I would recommend the Stretch 2 as your next knife. It sits between the PS and Delica in size and has a great blade shape.

Re: Your Favorite Slysz Design And Why
Techno 2 is my favorite due to its small but very sturdy design which makes it easy to carry and easy to cut. A whole lot of tasks such as opening boxes, cutting rope, etc. just don't need a large knife. And the Techno 2 punches above its size.

Surely diaphanous scales will be available on the first sprint run with a whole new design coming out of Golden. But they can only heat treat the metal during an eclipse, so they have temporarily moved some equipment down to Texas in order to take advantage on April 8 and will do a mass one time ...

Re: Smock: new style pivot
I already have a Smock in S30V. And even though the Smock is quickly moving up in my favorites (I really, really like its button lock that is not dependent upon a spring, plus its a great flipper) I will force myself to wait until another Sprint or Exclusive comes out.

Re: Spyderco 50th Anniversary Knife?
As much as I like the Delica - it is one of my favorite knives - I think it more appropriate to bring back the first knife Sal developed and released. While the idea of having a collector and a worker is good, people should not be forced to buy 2 knives in order to just obtain 1 if that is all they ...

It sure does seem like there is a lot of fear and hatred of new technology among Spyderco enthusiasts.

Aircraft,
Computers,
Printing presses,
rifled barrels,

flushing toilets,
sewing machines,
the wheel,

Re: Sprints/Exclusives since JAN 2019
So does the Slysz Bowie not count for Feb since it was a re-release even though it had been 3 years? It did sell out in less than 30 minutes which says something.

Re: Spyderco hunting folder
The Stretch is the best blade shape for a folding hunting knife Spyderco makes imo. But when taking a deer down to quarters, I like 2 knives and a saw. One knife about the size of the Stretch (skinning, cartilage, large cuts) and the other about the size of the Delica for tight inside work (like a ...
